Fallout TV Show Viewership Sets Record for Prime Video

Fallout has set a new record for Amazon’s Prime Video. According to the streamer (via Variety), the post-apocalyptic drama has become the second most-watched title ever on the platform and the most-watched title since The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power debuted in 2022.

Fallout, based on Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky’s popular role-playing video game franchise, has pulled in 65 million viewers in its first two weeks of availability on the streaming platform. The series debuted all eight episodes for Season 1 on April 10.

In addition to its strong viewership record, Fallout has also received positive feedback from both viewers and audiences.

Fallout gets an early Season 2 renewal

As for fans who have enjoyed the first season so far, Prime Video has announced that the series will return for Season 2, just over a week after the Season 1 premiere.

Hailing from Westworld creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the official synopsis for Fallout reads as follows: “Based on one of the greatest video game series of all time, Fallout is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. Two-hundred years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind — and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them.”

The series stars Ella Purnell as Lucy MacLean, Aaron Moten as Maximus, Kyle MacLachlan as Hank, Moisés Arias as Norm, and Walton Goggins as The Ghoul. The cast also includes Sarita Choudhury, Leslie Uggams, Johnny Pemberton, Zach Cherry, and more.
