Nokia has poured cold water on rumors about plans to make or sell smartphones next year


Earlier this week it was reported that Nokia was planning to make a shock return to the handset business next year. In a swift change of story , Nokia has released a statement , denying all rumors that once existed.


In a Statement released earlier today, Nokia assures it has no plans to manufacture or sell smartphones.

Nokia’s contract with Microsoft forbids them to sell or manufacture smartphones till 2016 and from the look of things it is becoming more unlikely we will ever see a smartphone from Nokia , even after deal with Microsoft.
