Cynthia had in the short time of being with me become the sunshine of my life.. I was not ready to allow her to go now. I was not going to let anyone stand in our way to happiness..

I consoled myself with the fact that Cynthia had most of her belongings in my room, and that she would by all means come for them, and we would sit down and resolve the whole nasty mess…

I would seize the opportunity to plead with her to stay with me as it was only her i Loved..

We had been together for five good years and it would be disastrous for both of use should we part at this crucial time of our relationship..

As i lay in bed pondering over these issues, I fell asleep and woke up late in the morning around 10 a.m.

I went and took my bath and dressed to the office. I was given a letter that was in the handwriting of Cynthia..

With shaking hands, I tore the letter open and read the contents..

“Dearest,
I am very sorry for what happened to us yesterday. I can’t explain myself in this letter as it would be improper but I want to assure you that what happened yesterday can not break my love for you as I don’t think there could be any other man besides you who can give me the happiness of a true love..”

I know you were shocked at my reaction in seeing that man who I would broadly tell you now, is trying to blackmail me.. You would know the full details later..”

“I beg you to let me handle this the way I want to. It would be the best. I will certainly be back home with you if you ask me to, for
honestly I was afraid you would do or say something devastating that was why I decided to stay away to make you calm down and so I am traveling to Ajao Estate until i get your word to come back..”

“Please don’t make too much out of this because it is only you I love and would continue to love till death do us part. I miss you”..

I folded the letter and stormed out of the office straight to the car park as i bought a ticket for Lagos…

I reached Ajao Estate around 2 p.m..

I was welcomed warmly by Cyndie’s father…**
