Two side of a coin - Season 1 - Episode 13

I and mum sat in the living room, she was looking at new fashion trends in a magazine and i was watcìng the television. Then i suddenly remembered i havent told her about Kimberly visting us.

Lucia: Mum, Kimber will be visiting later today. So she can finally meet you.

Mum: Kimberly, the girl from the bookstore ?

Lucia: Yes, when i told her you were back and i wanted her to meet you, she was so excited.

Mum: Really! I cant wait to finally meet this girl that has been giving you all this mood swings.

Lucia: She is very exceptional and i am sure you are going to like her. I have a feeling you are going to like her.

It felt like forever before evening, i was so excited. I cant wait for the two most important persons in my life to set their eyes on each other. I was overjoyed when i heard the doorbell, i knew it was Kimberly. When i opened the door,there she was with her elegant smile as always.

Kimberly: Hi there.

Lucia: Hi, how was your day at work.

Kimberly: Interesting. How are you ?

Lucia: Never been better. Have a seat, my mum is in the kitchen, i ll go get her.

Kimberly: I will here.

I walked to the kitchen and called out. Mum, Kimberly is here. As i and mud walked into the living room, kimberly stood up to great her.

Kimberly: Good evening ma.

Mum: Evening my dear, how are you ?

Kimberly: I’m fine ma, i have heard so much about you.

Mum: Me to

Kimberly: Except how beautiful you are.

Mum: Dont flatter me.

Kimberly: No, i’m serious. How many women about your age look this good plus Lucia here got nothing of you.

Thanks Kimberly i said to her. We all laugher.

Mum: Feet at home, dinner will be ready in a jiffy.

Kimberly: Thank you ma.

When she went off to the kitchen, kimberly said to me.

Kimberly: You mum is nice.

Lucia: Yes she is, was that why you told her i got nothing of her ?

Kimberly: No, that was the truth.

Lucia: What? You dont mean it.

Kimberly: Sorry love but i do.

Lucia: You’re mean.

Kimberly: Yeah right.

Dinner is ready my mum yelled out from the dinning.

Lucia: Come on, lets eat.
While we ate, my mum asked Kimberly.

Mum: How about your parents ?

Kimberly: My dad, he is fine, he is on a business trip

Mum: How about your mum ?

Kimberly: Never knew her, she died at childbirth.

Mum: Oh! I’m so sorry, i didnt…

Before my mum could finish her statement, Kimberly cut in.

Kimberly: Its okay ma, i do miss her, but i got my dad, he’s all i’ve got.

Mum: I understand.

Kimberly: Ma, the food is so delicious, thank you very much.

Mum: You’re welcome my dear.

Kimberly: I’m pretty sure Lucia’s cooking is not this good.

Mum: Atleast she can boil water.

Mum i screamed. We all laughed and then my mum said

Mum: I was just kiddin.

After eathng, Kimberly and i cleared the table and went to the kitchen to do the dishes
