The Black Powers - Season 1 - Episode 32

I was later called up into the university football team in preparation for WAUG (west African university games) which will be staged in Ivory coast. I was so happy with the invitation and I was looking forward to the final team selection list. The preparation for our tournament made me lose focus a bit, because I was just all about training, we train twice daily. 6am in the morning and 4pm in the evening.

All through that time, the black powers were still functioning in the school, though without a capon yet. Even me sef no dey go their side again, and they don’t even seems to bother about it. I know for sure that they are cooking up something for me but I am forever ready for them. Make them make the move first, then I counter. Am now a one man mopol on campus, but I never lose my popularity and respect a bit. Even some guys in the frat do still come visit me, some of them are still loyal to me as ever, they are the ones giving me info about the happenings in their camp.

It was the second week after my coming back to ilorin and I noticed some changes in Benny, she hardly call or visit me, I thought she was still upset about my response to her request. Oh! I forgot to tell you guys! Benny asked me to join her frat (the dragon babes) which I turned down instantly. I remembered she left my house angrily that day. And since then, she’s been acting funny, so I decided I was gonna visit her after my evening training.

At about 6:30pm when I was back from field, I took my bath and I set out to visit Benny, and thank God I met her at home

Me: wassup dear

Benny: am fine *****still standing by the door****

Me: can I come in???

Benny: ***reluctantly*** yes you can

Me: ****after settling down on the chair**** why are you acting like this now Benny

Benny: like a mad person right?

Me: there you go again, Benny, remember this is not how we started. We’ve come a long way, please don’t let small issue come in between us now.

Benny: you call this small issue?? Don’t be an ungrateful soul mikelrado, after all have done for you??? Am even trying to protect you by asking you to join my frat

Me: But your frat is meant for girls now

Benny: nope, we normally have one male among us.

Me: it’s not that I don’t want to join, and I really understand you well. But the thing is I have swore not to join any frat anymore, because am still in one deep shit because of the frat I joined, so joining another frat now will be stupid of me.

Benny: frat is different from frat mikelrado, all am doing is just for your own good. But if you say no then no problem. But jus know it that whenever you are in any trouble with the black powers I won’t be able to help you with my frat.

Me: no problem, as far as you are with me then am cool.

Seriously, I don’t know why Benny is so serious about me joining her frat, but no matter what the reason might be, she is actually taking this issue too far. This shouldn’t be creating problem between us. I went back home that Evening because I really don’t like the way Benny is acting up and I feel I need to let her be, at least for the main time.

As I was about to enter my house my phone started ringing, it was a strange number calling, I didn’t pick up at first ring because I was trying to process the caller might be. I picked the call at the second ring and it was a feminine voice at the other end of the phone. Hello! Who is this? I managed to ask

Voice: please am I unto mikelrado???

Me: I asked a question first and it will be polite of you to answer me first.

Voice: am someone you know very well, I just want to confirm if this is mikelrado before I start talking, but now am sure you are the one

Me: now that you are sure, what can I do for you?

Voice: thank God, have been trying to contact you since yesterday. It wasn’t easy for me getting your number.

Me: I still don’t know who am unto you know

Voice: ok, this is the doctor that treated you in osun

Me: oh doc, how are you doing?

Voice: please I need to see you urgently, infact, if possible tonight. Because you need to know something big is coming for you
