Movie Story: Jemeji - Season 1 - Episode 65

Doris runs to Iya Minasu's hut.
She sits outside, exhausted and calls her.
Iya Minasu asks her for Senami.
Doris says the villagers called Senami a witch who has taken their blood and they have gone to the clinic to meet her so they can take her to Mausi.
She says she has to leave so they don't know she told Iya Minasu anything.
She leaves and Iya Minasu goes into her hut to pick up her phone.

Senami, Oviyon, Seyive and matron Zansi are still trapped in the clinic with the villagers gathered outside and asking for their blood back.
Senami decides to call Kingsley for help.
He asks about the noise he's hearing in the background.

Senami tells him 'We are stuck there'.
He asks 'Who are we?'
She says her, Oviyon, Matron and Seyive.
Oviyon takes the phone from her and asks if he has the number for the nearest police station.
The line gets disconnected.

Kingsley picks up his car keys and leaves the house.

Folake sees Obi in the common room at the lodge and asks where he has been.
She says she was thinking his new dad had used him for rituals.
She laughs at her own joke.
Obi ignores her.
She says Senami is also not back and she doesn't know if she should be happy that SenamSenami finally has a life outside the Clinic or she should be worried because some elders came to look for her.
Obi says they need to talk.
Folake says she thinks it's high time they went public with their relationship and shouldn't be bothered about what people think.
Obi says they need to stop seeing each other because a relationship is too complicated for him right now with this his new status as Chief's son.

The villagers are still shouting 'Give us our blood!'
Oviyon asks what they want to do to them if they break in, would they kill them and have that on their conscience?

Oviyon's mother arrives and screams for them to leave her son.
Fonton holds her back.

The crowd disperses as Akweyon approaches.

Akweyon is holding a burning log.

She sets the door of the clinic on fire.

Matron and Seyive scream and they all run away from the door.

Iya Minasu is praying for Senami's safety as she walks to the clinic.

Oviyon takes the women to another room inside the clinic.
He says they need to leave before the villagers enter.

Senami says Akweyon is a murderer.

Oviyon locks the door and moves to another room.
Senami says she found another way out.

The villagers enter the clinic.

Oviyon and the women exit through a backdoor.
Peace sees them and Oviyon puts his finger to his lips, pleading with her not to say anything.
She watches as they run away.

Some villagers see Peace and ask if she has seen them.
She points in a different direction and says they went that way.

Obi goes to Otogan's palace to tell him all Senami told him on the phone about what's happening.
Otogan asks if he's sure Akweyon started the fire.
Obi asks if he won't intervene.
Otogan says he would do something.

Kingsley is on his way to the clinic.
His car runs into Iya Minasu and knocks her off the road.
He hears the bang but doesn't see anything as it is pitch dark.

He drives off.

Iya Minasu reaches for her phone but she loses consciousness.

Iya Oviyon grabs Fonton and asks for her son.
Fonton says Oviyon made his choice.
She spits on him.

Obi arrives with Otogan's guards.
Fonton asks for his father.
Obi says he's not there.
He warns the villagers to stop what they are doing.
Fonton asks if he knows what's going on.
Obi says the donated blood is missing and they have decided to blame it on Senami.
Fonton says they didn't decide because it is the truth.
Obi asks for proof.
Fonton says Mausi said so.

Obi says she didn't mention it to Otogan who was with her till not too long ago.
He asks what happens when someone else falls sick and there is no body or place to treat them; Senami is a corper and would leave after her NYSC while they are left without a clinic.
Fonton says nobody will leave till Otogan comes.
Obi says he is speaking for his father.
He orders the guards to check everywhere and ensure everyone is safe.
Iya Oviyon begs Obi to tell his men to check for her son as she can't find him.

Oviyon takes Senami to his mother's house and tells her to lock herself in a room.
Senami asks if he's joking.
He says his mother is not home.
She says his mother is out there with the people who want to kill her.
He tells her to just lock herself up in his room.
She asks where he's going.
He says he has to go and find out what's going on.
He gives her a kiss and tells her to lock herself in.

Oviyon's mother returns home and knocks on his door.
She is relieved that the door is locked.
She begs him to open.
Senami freezes.

Iya Oviyon says she's happy Oviyon didn't go with the witch.
She says she's not upset with him and she's sure Senami would have left Aji by now.

Senami covers her mouth so she doesn't make a sound.

Oviyon's mother becomes suspicious and starts asking who is in the room.

Kingsley arrives at the clinic.
He asks passersby what happened but nobody stops.

He sees Oviyon and says 'You're Senami's friend right?'
Oviyon says that's a way to put it.
Kingsley asks what happened.
Oviyon says the blood got missing and the villagers took advantage of that to rise up against Senami.

Kingsley says 'Stoking the fires of ancient tradition.'
Oviyon asks if he knows about Senami's grandmother.
Kingsley says Senami told him.
Viyon doesn't look too pleased to hear that.

Kingsley asks if it's over.
Viyon says he and Senami barely escaped with their lives.
Kingsley says 'You and Senami?'
Oviyon proudly says yes.
Kingsley says 'Aren't you the action hero?'
Oviyon says he was there when they attacked the clinic and when Senami was calling him (Kingsley).
Kingsley asks why he's back.
Viyon says he came to check if the coast is clear.
Kingsley asks where she is.
Oviyon asks if he thinks he would tell him.
Kingsley says he knows his house is the best place she can hide.
Oviyon asks what it is with him and Senami.
Kingsley asks if he thinks he's encroaching on his perceived territory.
Oviyon says he and Senami have feelings for each other and it's been on long before Kingsley came to Aji
Kingsley tells him to enjoy it while it lasts.
Oviyon asks what that's supposed to mean.
Kingsley calls Viyon a washed house graphic artist hiding his sins in his mother's house; he's not Senami's equal.
Oviyon asks what makes Kingsley her equal, because he has money to throw around and listen to village gossip?
Kingsley walks away.

Iya Oviyon orders that the door is opened.
She sits down crying and asking why Oviyon doesn't want to see her face.
She says anything that animal Fonton must have told him is a lie as she wouldn't have done it if she knew he was in the clinic, she had no idea they were going to burn anyone and she only thought they would chase Senami away from Aji.
Senami's jaw drops.

Iya Oviyon says as the fire raged, she thought she had killed her own son with her hands.
