Movie Story: Jemeji - Season 1 - Episode 66

A much younger Iya Minasu is telling a story to children in the village.
She talks about a small and naughty girl whose mother told not to go in the bush but she still went and saw a man digging 4 graves, she approached the man and he told her bodies will enter the graves.

Senami wakes up from her dream.
She is still seated on the floor, resting against the door in Oviyon's room.

Iya Minasu's body is still lying in the bush, by the side of the road.

Kingsley's driver arrives in the morning to meet his boss cleaning the car.
Kingsley berates him for coming late.
He apologises and Kingsley tells him to get a panel beater for the dent in the car.
The driver says he didn't leave any dent on the car the day before.
Kingsley asks if he saw anything on the road.
The driver says he took a shortcut and not the regular route.



Kingsley calls Senami and gets her voice mail.
He leaves a message asking her to call him.


Obi calls Folake from Otogan's palace to ask how she's doing.
Folake is alone at the lodge.
She tells him that she is scared.
He says as the son of a chief, he can't just come and be locked up at the lodge.
Folake asks where Senami is.
He says he doesn't know yet.
Folake says so they've killed her and can't find her body.
He tells her to be reasonable.
She tells him to just come so they can pack their things and run from the village.

One of the guards informs Obi that the police have arrived and they said someone called them the night before.
Otogan tells Obi to stay back while his guards see the police.


Oviyon returns home.
He apologises for taking so long and says he went to see Seyive and matron first.
Senami is relieved to see him.
He says they have to leave.
She limps and says her ankle still hurts.

Oviyon's mother is asleep on the couch.
They sneak past her.
Senami stops to stare at her for a while.
Oviyon comes back in to pull her outside.


Seyive is in the forest, pacing.
Akweyon approaches her.
Seyive asks if she's shocked to see her.
Akweyon doesn't respond.
Seyive says Akweyon didn't even stop to reconsider when she saw her at the clinic; her own sister.
Akweyon tries to walk away but Seyive pushes her and they engage in a tussle.
Akweyon overpowers her and walks away.


Senami and Oviyon are walking through the village.
Senami sees the policemen and introduces herself.
Otogan's guard tells her that the police are going to see Otogan.
Senami tells them she would be at the corpers' lodge.


Peace comes to Oviyon's house.
His mother is in tears as she says she hasn't seen Oviyon.
Peace assures her that he's fine because she helped him escape from the clinic.
Iya Oviyon breathes a sigh of relief.
She says he locked himself up in his room overnight and has gone out.
She sees the look on Peace's face and asks herself if it was someone else in the house.
Peace senses trouble so she says she has to go.


The police are with Otogan.
One of the officers says they saw Senami who is being accused of stealing their blood.
Otogan assures them that everything is fine since they saw Senami.
The officer says they will determine by themselves.
Otogan says in Aji they are family and there's no trouble.
One of the officers asks if the culprit who stole the blood has been found.
Otogan says they can always arrest someone.
The officer says it means the villagers can decide to attack again and there have been too many cases of corpers getting attacked.
Otogan says his son is also a corper and they are fine.
He calls Obi to ask if he doesn't feel safe.
Obi says all is well.

The officers leave for the corpers' lodge.

Obi tells Otogan that he's not happy he made him lie.
Otogan says the preople of Aji are his people and they are good people.


A motorcycle is taking a passenger into the village.
They see Iya Minasu's body lying in the bush.

The passenger gets into the village and sees all the rubble.
He asks another villager what happened.
The man tells him about Senami and the missing blood.
The new arrival informs him about what he saw.


Senami and Folake tell the police to arrest Neza and Fonton.
The police tells them to relax as the chief has assured them that he will take care of the situation.
Senami asks if they are joking.
The inspector says the Chief has a corper son like them who confirmed all is well.
Obi walks in, his face is the picture of guilt.

Senami asks the police if they will just leave them there.
The inspector gives them his number.

As soon as the police leave, Folake gives Obi a slap and asks how he could tell the police that lie.
Senami tells them to calm down.
Folakemi says they should pack their things and leave for Wesere.
She goes into the room.

Senami says if she didn't know better, she'd think Folake was the one attacked.
Obi says it's more than that, he broke up with her last night.
He assures Senami that Chief said it will be alright.
Senami asks what happens if Mausi sends the villagers after them again.
Obi says she won't because she wasn't even involved.
Senami says she would wait till evening.
She tells him not to feel like he has to stay because he's from Aji.


Mausi is in her shrine pounding in a mortar.
Akweyon enters.
Mausi asks why she took so long, then tells her to eat and wash the dishes.
Akweyon doesn't look happy.
As she starts to wash the dishes, they topple over.
Mausi gives her a warning look.
