Movie Story: Jemeji - Season 1 - Episode 73

Neza is standing outside his hut, coughing.
He hears Oviyon calling for him and runs away.

Oviyon enters Neza's house to look for him but finds the house is empty.

George is dragging Senami's suitcase out of the lodge.
She drags her stuff back and tells him not to touch them in the future.
He tells her that she has no future in Aji.
She says she will take her chances.
He says as her father, he's telling her to come with him.
She takes her things back into the room and tells him to drive safely.

Neza enters Iya Minasu's hut.
He finds it empty but Akweyon suddenly appears behind him, giving him a fright.
She sits on the floor and closes her eyes as though she's meditating.
He snaps his fingers in front of her face, prompting her to open her eyes.
He says the hut is no man's land so he suggests they share it fifty-fifty.
He takes a chalk and draws a line down the middle of the hut and tells her she's on her side while he's on his side.

Obi sees Folake waiting in his room as he comes out of the bathroom.
She tells him to tie towels more often.
He asks why she's in Chief's house.
She pours some moisturiser on her palm and says if the palace is good enough for him, it's good enough for her.
She tells him to turn around so she can apply moisturiser on his back.
He turns around.
She starts rubbing her hands all over his chest.
He tells her that's not his back but he is obviously enjoying what she's doing.
He turns around and they rush each other with kisses.

Two of Chief's guards tell Senami that they found Iya Minasu's body.
She tells them to take her to it.

Obi and Folake are in bed.
Basking in the aftermath of the obvious session they just had.
She asks why he broke up with her, then stayed with her.
He says everything is a problem with her.

Otogan walks in and asks them to explain what he's seeing.
He is livid.
Obi asks why he didn't knock.
Otogan asks why he didn't lock the door.
He says so this is why Folake asked to move in.

Akweyon brings out a meal of soup and 'swallow' to eat.
The red scarf covering her mouth is in place.
She passes the food under it so Neza doesn't see her mouth as she eats.
Neza asks why she's not with Mausi.
She ignores him.
He asks if she doesn't talk.
She carries on with her meal.
Neza is salivating.

Folake is outside the palace, rehearsing her apology to Otogan.
Obi comes out and she asks what Chief said.
He says Chief refused to see him.
They start arguing about who s£duced whom.

Dr. Jide meets them outside and asks if they are already fighting.
A guard tells Obi that Chief wants to see him.
Obi goes into the palace.

Dr. Jide tells Folake that he would advise her to leave Aji; Obi and Senami are from Aji, fighting for their heritage and when they are done, he doesn't want her to be collateral damage.
She laughs and tells him to consider spoken word poetry.

The guards take Senami far into the bush.
She talks to Kingsley on the phone about where she's going and he tells her to keep him posted.

The guards take her to a car and she sees her father.
He says they can do it the easy way; she gets into the car and they drive to Lagos or he ties her up and throws her in the car and still takes her to Lagos.
He says he already told all the police at the checkpoints that he was coming to rescue his daughter.
Senami says he can't do that to her as she's his daughter.
He gives the guards a signal.

Dr. Jide is in the palace with Otogan.
He tells Otogan that he has never seen him this upset.
Otogan says his son took a girl into the room and they were busy shouting; everyone could hear them.

Obi walks in and Otogan asks when they would go and see the girl's parents.
Obi looks confused.
Dr. Jide says Otogan wants to know when he would make an honest woman of the girl he was caught with.
Obi says it was a mistake.

Folake hears everything from behind the curtain.

George is driving Senami to Lagos.
Her phone starts ringing.
He says it should be one of her friends.
She says her hands are tied so she can't check.
He says he doesn't want this any more than she does.
She asks if he has thought about what her mother would think.
He suggests they call a truce and he unties her since they are in the middle of nowhere.
She agrees.
He unties her hands.
She thanks him.
She picks up her phone and says Folake sent a text asking to know where she is.

He tells her that they would stop at Wesere for food and fuel.
He asks what she would like to eat.
She says she's not hungry.

He says 'It's that boy right?'
She asks what boy he's refering to.
He says the graphic artist Aji boy.
She says it's nothing like that.
He says her grandmother dies but she insists on staying back in Aji, Oviyon digs the grave and protects her yet she says it's nothing like that; if he didn't know better, he would say she bewitched him.
Senami says it's nothing serious yet.
George says it's nothing yet o, the boy has no future with his daughter.
He asks if she even knows why Oviyon came back to the village.
She says he came to help his mother.

Oviyon is packing his clothes into a bag.
His mother enters the room and says she won't let him pmove out of the house again.
She says that girl already left Aji.

He ignores her and reaches for his phone on the bed.
She takes it and puts it inside her blouse.
He tells her to keep the phone.
He takes his suitcase and walks out.

Senami is sending a text message to kingsley.
Her father asks what Folake said.

Kingsley sends her a message telling her to keep calm.
He asks for the type of car she's in and tells her to make sure they stop at Wesere.

Senami tells her father that Folakemi said she would miss her.
She asks if they can still stop for food.
He says yes.

Akweyon brings more food into the hut and sets it on the line Neza drew..
He moves close to the food but looks unsure.
She dips her finger in to taste it so he can be sure it's safe to eat.
He digs in immediately.

Oviyon enters the corpers' lodge, looking for Senami.

George stops the car at the fuel station in Wesere.
Senami asks for groundnut.
He says he thought she said she became allergic to it when she got to the States.
She says she's not allergic to Nigerian Groundnut.
He asks what else.
She says she also wants bread.

He calls for a groundnut seller and a bread seller.
The groundnut seller rushes forward and pours the entire tray of groundnut inside the car.
George asks him what he's doing.
He snatches George's wallet then runs off.
George chases after him.
The groundnit seller drops the wallet and continues running.
George picks it up and returns to the car.
Senami is gone.

Senami is in another car heading back to Aji.Sitting in the backseat beside her, is Kingsley.
