Timi ran to me and sort of surprised me with a tight hug, staining my shirt with hot tears as she broke down in tears on my shoulder.. I didn’t really know how to react.. Lanre wasn’t at home as I suspected because he would have let her in.. I looked at my guys and the look on Franklin’s face said it all.. I’m sure he knew something I didn’t know.. Biodun opened the house and I ussured her in.. It was already about 10:30pm.. I didn’t let her sit comfortably before shooting the obvious question..

Me(with a very straight face)..Timi why are you here?.. Like what are you doing here by this time of the night…and who beat you up like this?

It was as if I added fuel to fire.. She just sat on my bed, burried her face in her palms and increased the tempo of the cry.. Franklin and biodun started consoling her..
Me.. Come make all of ona park well.. Wetin dey sup na.. Franklin why ona dey tell am sorri.. Ona know who beat am?
Franklin (facing timi).. It was him right?
Timi..(crying) Yes.. He did this to me.. (pointing at her arm to reveal belt marks and what looked like an iron burn)
Me..Who did this to you?

Franklin… Omo Giddi after ona break up and you come lap for ph all this while.. She go date one engine (engineering) beast of a nigga oo.. Na once him turn her to punching bag oo.. I even follow am get p because him slap my girl (faith).. Because of Timi oo.. Na biodun and Lanre hold me down I been wan rise ship for him head.. Omo the kind thins him dey do this girl no follow at all..

Timi (crying).. I caught him with another girl tonight and when I confronted him.. He beat me up and burnt my arm with his iron.. I ran here because his house isn’t far from here and I can’t go back home tonight..

Me.. Well honestly I don’t know what you want me to do Timi.. His ur bf so you guys should sort it out.. I’m gonna let you sleep here tonight but you need to leave first thing tomorrow morning.. Trust me you don’t want my gf to meet you here..

We gave her towel to shower and biodun pressed her hand with hot water that night.. Early the next morning I tapped her to leave.. I could see a look of disappointment in her (well she ain’t my bae no more)..I resumed school fully that week spending the days in class where Timi tried to win me back and the nights with my only surviving gf Edna..
