Sophie came out of premises disappointed. This wasn’t the Elliot she fell for, he had changed within a short period of time. His calling rate had reduced to an extent, and he had stopped picking her up from work. She called her driver immediately, she needed to pay him a visit. she rested her back on one of the hospital cars and waited.Her mind suddenly drifted to phillip. She always feel guilty thinking of him, but she couldn’t resist thinking of him,she just couldn’t explain the kind of love she had for him. But Elliot is the guy in my life now, I’ll love him with all might she said to herself.She walked towards the car.

few minutes later she received a call from one of the nurse that there was an emergency at the hospital. She sighed in frustration
Driver please take me back to the hospital.

Elliot was groaning in pain, she gave him an injection to enable him fall asleep but it didn’t work. She conducted a test on him immediately.

Oh no it cant be, she said trying to hold the tears.The test was showing Elliot was having brain cancer. it was really bad to the extent he had less than 2months to live. she wasn’t sure if he could stay that long. Looking at Elliot one more time she collapsed.

An hour later the good samaritan who had brought Elliot showed up demanding to see his patient. Áccording to him, he found Elliot on the floor groaning in pain just in front of a sport complex.He had wanted to call a number from the phone but it actually had a password so he used the next alternative by rushing him to the hospital.

Sophie was revived few hours later, the thought of loosing the second love of her life was a slow death to her as well.

She stood up against the nurses advice and went back to Elliot ward.she met his parents sitting on the bed, she greated them and sat down opposite Elliot mother. Silence enveloped the room as each one of them was battling with their own thought.

Sophie felt pity for the middle aged woman that sat beside her.Elliot was an only child so she knew no amount of the pain she was going through wasn’t as painful as his parents.

Elliot mum broke the silence
My daughter, she turned to Sophie’s direction.

If there was one thing i was jelouse of is the love he has for you. He bought an engagement ring and wanted to give to you when he found about his illness .His been going through so much pain. She said and broke into fresh tears, Sophie held her hands and they cried uncontrollably together.
