The Policeman unlocked the hand cuffs on my hand and escorted me out of the room and the station.

I went home very weary that hot afternoon.

Lucky tried asking me series of questions but i pleaded with her to let me rest for a while which she obliged.

She woke me up at half past four in the evening when i was sleeping on the couch asking me to join her on the dinning table at my mum’s place.

She went into the kitchen to bring the dinner she had prepared. I heard something prompting me to call my mum and plead with her to follow my plan because they would interrogate her too.

With that, i got up from the table and called my mum giving her an update of what was happening. She was overwhelmed over what i had done but promised to abide by my rules.
That alone gave me courage and thanked her before hanging up.

I was shocked to see my girlfriend standing behind me when i turned. No one needed to tell me that she had heard every bit of my conversation on the phone.

She took my hand, walked me to the table and sat me down, all she could do was to cry. I tried holding her hand but she warned me not to.
“So you did all that, how could you Biggie.

I never thought of you going this far just for revenge. You are so selfless, you never for once thought of me let alone put your trust in me…. She poured out.

I got closer to her and hugged her, I thought of this before coming out with such a plan dear. Of course i think of you. I know i was stupid master minding such a dreadful plan, but trust me i did it for you my love.

I couldn’t bear the shame and disgrace she planned and was about to plan against you. She threatened to fight and disgrace you where ever she met you.

Pebbles needed to be stopped and someone needed to take the bull by the horn. So i stepped up for us. No one bites my finger and goes Scott free…. Biggie lamented.

” But you needed the police to know that threat she issued against me, besides you never told me so how could i have known of her intentions to disgrace me.

I had to convince her some more to understand me. Also i realised she was scared of loosing me so i gave her hope that she wont loose me because the guys i sent had promised never to step foot in the vicinity.

They made it clear to me that, they did a clean job and i trusted them because they executed exactly what told them. I got to know that after they had narrated everything to me and from how Simone described the incident.

They said they wouldn’t step foot here not until five years, that was the deal and i paid them with a huge amount.

They wouldn’t even dare because they know what might happend to them should they be convicted. With this she calmed down……

**** EPILOGUE****
The next day my mother called telling me that the police came to interrogate her in the house.My heart bounced and I asked her what questions they asked her.
Mother was too brilliant that I wondered if I took my bad behaviour from her.
I was so much relieved when I realised she did not say anything that could make them suspect me.
My only hope now was on the two guys who executed the plan.I prayed nobody saw them that faithful day they did the job.
*Months passed but I never heard from those two guys I sent.I had relocated to another apartment far from Simone’s vicinity.
Lucy had a job now and I was also a businessman.I had a shop in Kejetia market and business was booming.
I dealt in all manners of wears ranging from snickers to lady’s bags.I had a lot of customers who came buying on wholesale.
*Tuesday morning,Simone called me on phone informing me that Pebbles’ guy Kelvin had left her.
He complained that she had intentionally set fire in her shop after he gave her GH 1000 Cedis so she could spend the money for free.
Pebbles then gave the money to a guy to weld a container store for her in hope that Kelvin will give her another money after he had promised to do so.
The guy did not do any container,but spent the money and vanished from town.
But after the incident,Kelvin broke up with her on hearing the news that her pub got burnt.I told Simone that I would visit him the following day.
I woke up the next morning in high spirits ready to visit Simone.I took a taxi to his house after I had told Lucy of where I was going.
When I reached my destination,some friends I saw on the way got closer to me and tried to tell me what had happened to Pebbles.
I never knew there were guys who were like some ladies who had made gossiping their hobby.
I stopped them by explaining to them that I had heard the news already.Someone had already let the cat out from the bag.
They were surprised and asked who could reveal a top secret in such a short time.
“Anyway,thus not why I came here.I came here so that you guys could help me celebrate my triumph over the woman who thought she was leaving me for a better man…I said.
Can you guys please guy some more friends in the neighbourhood to celebrate with us..I queried.
They were more than eager to do what I asked and sooner than later the atmosphere was filled with guys who were ready to get boozed.
I sent them to Simone’s compound and asked him to join us.He never for once hesitated.Simone ordered the guys to bring some plastic chairs from a nearby pub.
I also gave out some money to him to spend on drinks which he did by sending some of the guys to buy from the pub.
Simone brought a sound system from his apartment and made himself the DJ for the occasion.
We also bought some sausages and cooked some rice.We sat down and drunk to our maximum satisfaction,amidst eating and dancing.
Pebbles came out from her apartment and stood to watch us jubilate.Tears started pouring down her miserable face….THE END*
