Months passed and yet i did not hear from him. One day after work, i got a call but could not identify the caller because it was an unknown number.

I picked it up and realised it was Enoch calling.

He told me that he had forgiven me.

I was so excited about what he said on the phone. He asked if i was dating someone because he wanted me back.

I paused a bit to reflect on all that we shared for the five years we had been dating before i sighed and said no.

Words cannot describe how happy he was to hear that. He asked why a pretty damsel like myself was not in a date and i replied that actually i was in a date with one guy back in America who became a drunkard because of his mum’s death.

Jude was such a nice guy but for his mother’s death, he changed completely. I tried advising to change from his drinking ways
but he paid no heed to my advise so i had to let him go because i was not ready to date a drunkard.

I did my very best to change Jude but he wasn’t ready to change. It looked as if he wanted to follow his mum to the grave or something.

Because from the way he was drinking, i wouldn’t be surprised to hear that he had joined his mum to the grave.

Enoch was so happy that he told me to come down so we could settle as husband and wife.

I was also very pleased to hear him say that and i gave him my full consent to start the preparation.

He sent money for me to buy wedding rings and my dress i would wear to the occasion too. He also asked me to buy a white suit for him which i never hesitated doing.

He also asked me to borrow him some money for the drinks and food he would order which i did because i saw seriousness and sense in what he was doing.

He promised to pay back the money i borrowed him immediately i arrived here in Ghana which he has not but because i didn’t want to bother him, i never asked him.

After arranging for all the things he needed to do before our wedding, he asked me to get a visa back to Ghana for the wedding and i even promised him that if he married me, i would take him to the states with me.

I arrived just two weeks ago for the marriage ceremony to commence and he had already seen my parents and asked for my hand in marriage.

They also received him warmly and gave him the go ahead to proceed with the marriage preparation.

Enoch has done the customary rites by paying for my bride price and has bought all the necessary list items for the grand wedding to proceed.

And i caught him with another woman having dinner in a restaurant. What would you have done if you were in my shoes.
