A week passed and i did not hear from Enoch. He neither visited nor called to disturb me of anything. I was even surprised for his recent behaviour.

I even thought that he might have travelled abroad so i hired someone to monitor him and find out for me if what i was thinking was indeed true.

The person i hired happened to be a private investigator who worked with the police department i logged a complain for an immediate arrest of Enoch, but to my dismay
someone among them rather discouraged me than five for his immediate arrest. It was one policeman by name Sargent Asare who advised me to hire a private investigator to monitor him than to pressure the police for Enoch’s immediate arrest.

Surely i became very provoked for what he said and asked why he said that hurting words in the first place.

I didn’t initially understand why Sargent Asare said that because i was very much heart broken and emotionally disintegrated.

Why could a whole policeman man, and an inspector of his calibre say such a thing. My husband to be was trying to dupe me for a such a ransom amount of money and he stood behind
the counter to just alter such heart breaking comments just to hurt me the more.
But for his explanations, i realised that i was taking the case to a certain height that if care was not taken i might loose everything.

Inspector Asare said he knew Enoch very well in the University. They attended the same University in some couple of years back.

Enoch happened to be his next door neighbour who used to tell him stories of his adventurous game with women, so he knew him more than i even came into his life.

He also said that Enoch was in town and he knew where he was staying. So it would be better for us to hire someone to monitor him than to call for his immediate arrest.

The inspector also advised me not to take the matter at heart. He said to me that i must not be too emotional about what had happened and said that, that was what the police were meant for.

So it was he who recommended a private investigator for me but i warned him that should Enoch bolt away with my money, i would
certainly blame him and log a complain against him for conspiring with Enoch to get away with my money which he agreed.

A day before the wedding, i got a call from the private investigator by name Mr Fred informing me that Enoch just booked a hotel room with a lady.

I was taken a back by such a sudden call. I never for once recalled hearing such strange and heart broken call anywhere in my life.

Immediately i became sterned and my body begun to quiver. It was as if someone had poured water full of ice cubes on me.

The news of Enoch booking a date with another woman on the eve of his wedding was uncalled for me and i was so mesmerised very much that my heart begun to skip some beats faster than it should.

What intensified me the more was that the caller hanged up after leaving me in such suspense.

I had to make a move by finding out if what Investigator Fred informed me on the phone was true. Surely he gave the location of the hotel where the incident would take place.

But i was very shocked because Enoch never cheated on me for all the five years i dated him or maybe he was doing it behind my back.

Some men could be so wicked. I trusted him so much that whenever someone complained about him i ignored the person.

That was how love could block ears from listening and render its victims blind.

But i needed to go with Amanda so she would also know the kind of man he was dating.

She might have now believed him so much just as i did, so she would be interested to witness such a scene,i thought.

I picked up my phone to call her but it wasn’t going through….
