Two weeks later, Martha, who was discharged from the hospital about a week ago and Jayjay and the rest of the guys including their mum were in Jayjay’s apartment when Jayjay’s phone rang and he picked and got the most terrible news ever atleast for now.
Jayjay: how did it happen…who was with him…okay thank you.
Viper: Boss, what happened?
Jayjay: bad news….(to his mum)…Mum, your Ex-husband is in the hospital.
His mum: what? How did it happen, did he have a heart attack or something.
Jayjay: no, none of that, he crashed into a tree.
His mum: how?
Jayjay: the police thinks someone tampered with the brake of his car.
Viper: Boss am sorry but how bad is it.
Jayjay: he is in a terrible condition.
His mum: are you leaving now.
Jayjay: (confused) leaving to where?
His mum: won’t you go to the hospital?
Jayjay: sorry to disappoint you mum, but am going nowhere, that doesn’t mean i am happy about what happened to him.

His mum: I never gave birth to a heartless son, where did you get that character from?
Jayjay: mum am not heartless, I just dont think i should be there, mum, that man and i were never in good condition.
His mum: that man? Onyi, he is your father for God’s sake, why are you treating him like this.
Jayjay: am only treating him the same way he treated me when i was younger.
Martha: Jayjay, you have to forgive dad.
Jayjay: (turns and faces her) did you just say dad, let me ask you this question, do you know this man, do you even know what he looks like?
Martha: (bends her head and keeps mute)
Jayjay: I know the answer to that question already, that man lying in that hospital bed, is not fit to be called a father, all he did was bring us into this world apart from that he did nothing else.
His mum: Onyi, stop it, you are going to see your father right now, am not begging you it’s an order.
Jayjay: mum, am not going anywhere, atleast not to see a heartless monster, an ingrate and a very irresponsible…(before he could complete his statement, a slap landed on his cheeks)
Jayjay: mum, why did you slap me. Is it because of that man.
His mum: i will do it again if you don’t stop calling your father that man, for God’s sake accept the fact that he is your father.
Jayjay: no offense mum but he was also your husband, so you ought to visit him also, am going nowhere….(he said that and walked out before his mum could utter a word)

Policeman: do you mean you don’t know what happened to the car.
Gateman: yes sir.
Policeman: (looks at him suspiciously as he was sweating profusely) but you were the one that washed it.
Gateman: yes police, but i know know wetin do the car.
Policeman: okay, thanks for your time, we don dey go.
Gateman: okay. Go well.

Twenty minutes later, the gateman stood outside the building shivering and regretting his actions, when the person he had come to see came out smiling.
Gateman: Oga, goo…goo…good afternoon sir.
Unknown person: afternoon, you did a good job, I just heard that the Idiot is in the hospital.
Gateman: ye…ye…ye…ye..yes sir.
Unknown person: relax i will not harm you, we are friends right.
Gateman: yes sir, we be friends.
Unknown person: how much is your balance.
Gateman: two hundred thousand.
Unknown person: two hundred thousand…(smiles) oya, come inside and come and take it.
Gateman: Oga, i go stand here, just bring am.
Unknown person: no o, come inside and let’s have a toast, you helped me accomplish something big today. Just that one action of tampering with his brakes already did half of the Job for me. Come inside please.

Gateman: okay sir…(he followed the unknown person inside the house)
unknown person: sit down and have a drink…(offering him a glass of juice)
Gateman: (collects it) thank you sir.
Unknown person: you are welcome, just finish drinking it let me go and bring your remaining balance.
Gateman: yes sir…(gulps down the chilled glass of juice)…i don finish, give me the money.
Unknown person: okay, let me go and bring the money.
He went in and came out about two minutes later with a suitcase in his hand.
Unknown Person: (sits opposite the gateman and opens the suitcase) your money is in here.

Gateman: thank you sir….(he came closer to get the money but instead of money a gun was pressed to his neck)
unknown person: say goodbye to this world.
Gateman: (crying) oga, abeg no kill me, i beg you.
Unknown person: too late for that, bye…(pulls the trigger and kills the gateman)
Policeman: (pointing a gun at him) drop your gun down now.
Unknown person: (begins dropping the gun)
policeman: good just like that, nice and slowly, put your hands behind your back and kneel facing the wall.

Unknown person: okay..(obeys them)
policeman: (talking into his walkie talkie) we need an ambulance, there’s a dead body here.
Unknown to the gateman the policemen who came to question him, suspected he was the pepetrator of the crime and followed him but unfortunately they arrived too late as he had already been shot.
