Must Read: Had I known - Season 1 - Episode 60

The next morning at the University’s teaching hospital, Jayjay’s father, step mum and his mum had arrived and they were all in the waiting room of the hospital waiting for the test results to come out.
Few minutes later, the doctor came to them with a Nurse closely behind him holding the test results, and from his facial expression it was obvious that the news he was about to give them wasn’t a good one.

Mr. Agaba: Doctor, are they compatible?
Doctor: well, am sorry but there is a ‘but’ in this situation.
Jayjay: Doctor, please answer us, Yes or No.
Doctor: i am sorry young man, but it’s unfortunate, i know you actually wanted to save her life but…
Jayjay: just get straight to the point.
His Mum: Onyi, be patient and let him talk.
Doctor: i am sorry but they are not compatible.
Mr. Agaba: Doctor, but you assured me that the compatibility rate between siblings is about 99.9%.
Doctor: yes but this case is different.
Mr. Agaba: different? In what sense?
Doctor: please, i need the four of you to come to my office, we need to talk about something important.
INSIDE THE OFFICE:
Doctor: thanks, you can sit.
Jayjay: so, doctor, why did you call us into your office, we are not supposed to be sitting and gisting at this very moment, we should be out there looking for how to save my sister’s life, doctor.
Doctor: (tapping his index finger on his table) yes, hmmmmmmm, your sister.
Mr. Agaba: doctor, talk to us, what is happening.
Doctor: you see, Mr. Agaba, their incompatibility made me abit bothered, so out of curiosity i ended up using their blood samples to carry out a DNA test and the result wasn’t pleasant at all.
Inwardly Jayjay was screaming ‘thank you Lord’ but he still managed to keep calm and pretend like he didnt know what the doctor said.
Jayjay: doctor, what do you mean by ‘the result wasn’t too pleasant’
Doctor: sorry to say but the result came out negative.
Jayjay’s Mum: meaning?
Doctor: they are not siblings.
Jayjay’s Mum: (getting up furiously) Doctor, i gave birth to this two children, i carried both of them for Nine months, so what you are talking about is absolute rubbish.

Doctor: madam, calm down.
Mr. Agaba: Doctor, so what are you saying now.
Doctor: sir, all i am saying is that if your wife was actually pregnant…
Jayjay’s Mum: (cuts in) ofcourse, i was pregnant.
Doctor: madam, all i am saying is that this might be a case of switched at birth.
Mr. Agaba: so, doctor what do we do now.
Doctor: we have to carry out a paternity test to see which of them that was switched and who is actually your child.
Jayjay’s Mum: (crying) so how do we do the transplant now.
Doctor: we will look for a donor outside, if it turns out that she is not actually your daughter.
Jayjay’s Mum: (sobbing) how can it be that she is not my daughter, i mean i carried that child in this womb for 9 months, i nurtured her, so why all this now.
Jayjay: (petting his mum) mum, it is okay, stop crying..(to the doctor) so doctor what you mean now is that she is not my sister.
Doctor: yes, that is exactly what i mean.
Jayjay: how sure are you?
Doctor: 99.9 percent sure.
Jayjay: i said it.
Mr. Agaba: said what son?
Jayjay: the heart does not lie.
