MY MISTAKE …..

Every part of me was seriously missing Ella, i can’t but always think of her everyday, Ella was just too much for me, i can’t compared her with any mortal creatures on this earth but only an angel.

Well my suffering continues from my uncle and my aunty , there is not a single day i won’t have either beating or insult. The worst part of it is that sometimes after hawking under the hot sun in the afternoon expecting to eat something good at home, they either give me half of my food and warm the remaining half food in the next day morning, or there is no food for me at all.
I still remember one morning my aunty asked me to go and eat a stale pounded yam of two days ago, when I looked at the food i felt like vomiting because the sight was nothing to behold there is this kind of white substance covering the whole food, i can’t but eat the food that way because there is no any other place to eat from again, my lovely ella and her mom are no longer around again if not i wouldn’t have eat the food.

They make it compulsory for me to be eating stale food every morning , sometimes stale food of four or three days ago. My health was alarming i was now looking like someone with HIV aids Infact if someone said i had kwashiorkor i would believe, if mama Timo visited again she will be surprised to see me in that condition because her belief and the other family members was that they were talking care of me. The one that worry me most is that how can my uncle allowed his wife to always be dictating what to do for him he can’t take any decisions, whatever his wife said that is the final, without anybody telling me definately this woman has bewitched my uncle not only that she has hypnotized him.

Even there daughter was not left out imagine 8 i mean 8 years old can’t brush her teeth talkless of bathing or washing her clothes, she was just like her mother. I have never in my life see a girl so mundane like this girl, she was just big in stature but nothing upstairs she can’t recite A B C to Z she either stop at L M or N then she will said is confusing, she knew nothing but food Infact i personally nicknamed her ( jeun ku) i guess u understand that she can eat die, her parents were not helping the situation instead of them to get private teacher for her or i should be tutoring her what they keep saying is that she is still young 8 years for Christ sake, her results is always woeful, i should tell you her position because hers is always first or second from the last. Now i believed there is no hope for me in Lagos not even talking of going to school, not with my uncle and his wicked wife.

It was around December the Christmas was fast approaching then when something strange happened that almost cost me my life.

That day it was as if the whole world turned against me i can’t just understand how it happens but looking at it critically i was not at fault. It was on Saturday that was two days to the Christmas i was at home i didn’t go hawking that day i was washing plates inside the kitchen when that good for nothing girl came to me and uttered what i hate most to hear, i guess it was her mother who asked her to Called me that ,she was in the sitting room with that her witch friend.

” hey b-----d my mummy is calling you ” i was range within my spirit i just feel like strangling her there, but i kicked against it, then i made the mistake, i move closer to her and screw her ear before releasing her that she should never in her life call me b-----d, as i released her she stumbled on the stood by the door side therefore making her to hit her head against the Wall ,she screamed, this caught the attention of her mother who quickly rushed from the sitting room and met her daughter bleeding on the head by the door step, seeing her daughter she screamed
“he has killed my daughter oooo” i was shocked and dumbfolded where i was standing then her friend came in she screamed too i can see panic every where
” i knew he was sent here to killed my only child ooooo he has succeeded ” my aunty said crying this time, me too i was already shedding tears

” we have to rush her to the hospital now” her friend suggested

” no she is dead already ”
” no she is still breathing let’s be fast ” they carried the girl and rushed outside i wanted to follow them but my aunty friend asked me to go back then she did the unexpected, she locked me inside and left with the key.

I was crazy with my self why did i screw her ear why.

” God you know i didn’t mean any evil please don’t let the Girl die please ” i silently prayed weeping profusely, the another strange things happened 30 minutes later. I was still weeping..uncontrollably on the floor when i heard someone opening the door quess what ? it was my uncle he was looking fiercely like a wounded lion and the presence of the other two persons that entered almost makes me fainted
“officers that is the criminal arrest him ” i was shocked, my uncle getting me arrested

” young man you are under arrest i will advise you not to say anything until you get to our station, now move ” my only wish at that moment was that the ground should just opened and swallow me.

I silently followed them as my uncle cursed behind, i was driven to the station in my uncle’s car, after 10 minutes journey we arrive at the station i cursed my life and God not only that i blamed my late parents who was in heaven and yet allowed this to happen to me. I was dragged inside by the second officer who look like a junior to the second one, we met the DPO inside who happens to be my uncle friend

” wale that is the criminal that want to kill my daughter ”

” so the girl is not yet dead ” i quickly prayed in my heart that the girl must not die i even forgotten that i cursed God few minutes. ago. The dpo asked them to take me into the sell then promised my uncle that i will surely suffered for it

Hmmmmmm the real story just begins sit tight as you enjoy this but i need your comments ( correction and critics )
