THE BATTLE CONTINUES

Back to my story, aunty Funmilola showed me my room immediately uncle wale stormed out the house.

” if you need anything let me know ” aunty Funmilola said before heading out in which i nodded signaling that i hear her . Without hesitating i wrapped myself with the blanket immediately, as i reminiscized back to everything that has happened to me, most especially in the cell, how i was tortured by scary and Goliath, and how they later became my friends, i love them even though i smell hell from them. I still remember in the afternoon before my release, Goliath volunteer to make himself my pillow as from that day only to be released some hours later, they felt like crying when the officer announced my release, but i encouraged them to be themselves because very soon they will be released, i hugged them before I leave promising of seeing them in the future.

I also reminiscized about my relationship with ella, seriously i missed her she’s the only person i need right now. One part of me was telling me that I will still meet Ella in future, i can’t really wait to see her.

I was so lost in thought that i didn’t know when i slept off, to be candid i had a nice dream that night because i saw my mom again. This time she was smiling
” my son,i can see your promise land getting more closer” she said smiling as she moved closer to me.

” how long will it take me to get there? ” i found myself asking

” i can’t say , the truth is that it is getting closer but” but what again , i thought she wants to bring me good news

” but what?”

” i can still see a great challenges,obstacles more than before on your little journey to your greatness ”

Hearing this i was devastated but why would suffering always comes my way in life why? And besides why can’t she clear the obstacles and challenges away because I heard ghost have powers

” it is not the way you think my son yes we ghost have powers but we can’t change destiny we can only help you through it ”

” but don’t worry my son what i am seeing before you is great for eyes to behold you are a great man but you must pay the price ” she added before she disappeared into the thick darkness
I woke up immediately i felt a hand touching my forehead, i slowly opened my eyes to see uncle wale sitting beside me.

” good morning uncle ” i greeted as i tried to sit which uncle wale against
” noo rest a little bobo i can see you are tired, the food is almost ready ” i was speechless the only person who did this to me last was my late mother
.checking the time I was surprised 9:30am jezuz what am i still doing on bed beside i should be helping Aunty Funmilola inside the kitchen this is what i can’t try at my uncle side Infact sleeping till 6am is a trouble. But how come or was it because of my detention inside the cell, oooh i remembered i slept late last night, when I check the time on the wall clock before i slept last night it was 10:30pm and uncle wale was not yet back by that time, but wait sleeping at that time is not new to me because sometimes i do sleep around 12am or 1am at my uncle side and I will still wake up by 5am

“well may be it was my detention” i concluded

Uncle wale noticed the look on my face and the way i was looking at the wall clock, he smile

” you are surprised sleeping to this time huh?” i nodded yes

” it should be so because you were so tired ” but wait why is he not at the station by this time of the day or is it because he is the DPO

” are you not going to work?” i found myself asking

” yes i am not i went to the station yesterday because of you and besides today is boxing day” boxing what
” sir you mean yesterday was Christmas? ”

‘ yes” jezuz i didn’t even remember well why would I when I was inside the cell. Aunty Funmilola entered this to announce that the food is ready she was happy to see me awake

” morning Ekundayo ” she greeted smiling

” good morning ma”
” how was your night ”
” fine ma it was wonderful” well i was right because i slept like a new born baby for the first time in 8 i mean eight months

” sweetheart the dinning is set” she announced

” now get up bobo and brush your teeth before you join us in the dinning ” uncle wale said before heading out with his wife. Well uncle wale preferred calling me bobo .few minutes later i joined them at the dinning ,wow guess the breakfast it was jollof rice.

Well everything was going well with me at uncle wale place infact they took me to the market to buy clothes for me, they took me to beach and the most interesting one is the cinema to celebrate New Year, they treated me like their son, the truth i even forgot i had a uncle in Lagos, how i wish uncle wale is my real uncle i would not have suffered like this, well i believed in my heart that i have arrived my promise land Hmmmm i was wrong, there in the cinema i met a very familiar person i guess the person was the caused of my later misfortune.
