Fire God Of The Fire Island - Season 1 - Episode 50

☆☆
Thankfully, the journey to the designated cave on Obsidian Volcano was incident free. It was a beautiful day out, the cloudless blue sky high above, a gently salty breeze from the water making her journey comfortable and relaxing. It made Kate momentarily forget about her cares and simply enjoyed the peace and tranquility that was Fire Island.

It was after midday when Kate began her trek and it was late afternoon when she reached the cave of Fiery Meditation.Flickering, waxy candles lined the walls, ceiling and floor of the cave, their flames burning softly, gently. It was quite beautiful seeing countless candles lit all at once. The cave was quite spacious, only a simple futon in the centre of the room acting as the piece of humanized luxury.

Walking carefully through all the candles, Kate shifted her bag from her shoulder as she sat down upon the futon. Placing her bag on her lap, she wiped the light layer of sweat from her brow with the back of her hand. It was hot inside the cave, the candles keeping the air rather steamy.

It wasn’t all that uncomfortable, it was quite pleasant really.

Opening her bag, Kate set out with the task of getting out the essential oils and incense sticks to start her meditation. Placing the oils on the floor for the time being, Kate lit up the incense sticks and started placing them in various parts of the cave. It was actually a form of meditation in itself, really.

However, Kate momentarily paused in her task when she heard Nootau Chatan chuckle within her mind. She tilted her head to the side in confusion, her brow furrowing slightly. “What is it?”

‘Love is a constant, universal, dynamic energy flowing into and through you at all times’, Nootau Chatan’s voice drifted through. ‘Renew your relationships through loving actions’.

“Renew your relationships through loving actions?” Kate repeated under her breath, her confusion only deepening. “What does that mean?”

“I guess it means Nootau Chatan sensed me coming”.

Kate literally jumped at the voice and she wipped around, her eyes wide in surprise upon seeing a familiar smiling blue-haired man standing right behind her. “Loki!” she pratically squeaked “What are you doing here?”
Grinning impishly, Loki shrugged slightly. “I thought I’d keep you company”.

Kate found herself smiling gently, truly touched that Loki wanted to be with her, even doing something that probably bore the lively Lady to tears. “I am mediting Loki”, She pointed out. “That doesn’t really require company”

“But that’s so boring”,
Loki retorted, just like Kate though he would. “The fire never meditates or sit still, so why should you?”

That was a pretty good question, actually Kate had learnt through Fire Dancing that the flames could never sit still, forever curling and flickering. Even a solidary candle flame could not sit still for very long.

“Ah, well, it’s part of the Fire Priestess teaching, I suppose”,
Kate tried to explain.

“Still boring as heck. If you ask me”, Loki commented as he slid over to her, his hands instantly touching Kate’s sides, pulling her up against him. Kate allowed him to held her, her body melting against Loki’s readily. She placed her hands on Loki’s strong chest and leaned against, nuzzling her head under Loki’s chin.

A thought suddenly occured to Kate though, and she pushed back ever slightly so she could look upon Loki’s face, her face brow furrowed in bewilderment. “Um, how did you get up here?” she asked. “Normally the flames wouldn’t..”

Loki grinned his usual carefree smile. “I guess that means the Fire God doesn’t mind me being here, does he?”

“I suppose not”.

Kate was surprised by that. Normally, a Priestess was to fulfil her duty alone, the flames keeping outsiders and intruders at bay. But Loki got passed the flames that constantly burned on Obsidian and Nootau Chatan allowed him to approach, finding amusement in his presence.

So that meant..the Fire God really didn’t mind her been with Loki?

“Kate?”

“Y-yeah”
Kate shook her head slightly and blinked as she was pulled from her musings.

She then felt Loki slip a finger under her chin, tilting her chin up toward him.

Loke gazed intenly down at her, a warm smile on his lips, his hand on the small of Kate’s back keeping her close.

Then, slowly, he lowered his head and pressed his lips against Kate’s.

For a long moment all rational thoughts left her. Only pleasure flooded her brain, filling her body with a mounting urgency that Kate found hard to fathom-and to resist.

Kate’s mouth opened easily under Loki’s gently coaxing, her knees weakening as Loki’s tongue played over her, moving back and forth in a slow but evocative rhythm.

Kate curled her fingers tightly within the material of Loki’s clothing. Clinging to him as a strange and unfamiliar heat consumed her body.

She wasn’t aware that she was being lowered until she felt her back touch the soft futon and Loki’s body pressing down against hers

“Wait”, Kate panted after she broke the kiss
