I couldn’t see well but i heard foorsteps near my head which means i was lying down…

7 hours later…

Slowly my eyes opened and i began to make out images one by one- i was in a big room, a hall probably with an air vent not far from the ground and a big door which leads to the main road as i could hear people passing by.

Beside me was anna, bound in the feet and leg , she wasnt moving maybe shes asleep.

I was gaining consciousness now
“anna! Anna!! Anna!!!”

She didnt respond..oh my God.

I hate being helpless , here lies the girl i came to save while i’m also in chains too.

An hour had pass now _nothing yet
I was gliding on my belly to the door when i heard keys jangling and the door knob turning, i quickly went back to my position.
Dan, his gang and 2 kakori thug came in…


“hello steve” dan said mockingly in a gentleman’s voice


“you see” he continued “i told you i like you as a friend but you decided to ignore my warnings and now you’ve left me with no choice -these thugs need your head for money so what do you say?” all the while i listened to him , my blood boiled hot within me, i wish i could just strangle him and finish him off.


“guys, kill him!” the statement rang in my head like it was a bell, i prayed it should be a dream, i prayed someone would wake me up but nah, its real.

My face and was about sliting my throat when Dan ordered him to stop.


“prepare the girl and bring her to the river first then you can come back to finish this one”

I can see dissapointment on the thugs face- he really wanted to kill me? Was my head so precious?…

Thirty minutes after, they left with anna who was now awake watching everything as she sobbed out her eye pleading that i be spared.

The doors were locked and i was all alone.

An hour later….


I thought about my mom, charlie the car and sparrow, how they were going to miss me, how mommy and sparrow would feel when they hear about my death.

I flicked from my thought when i heard jingling of keys and the door knob turning- the thugs were back to kill me this time….

They were saying things which i couldnt hear moreover the door didnt open so i glide near to listen .


“this is the problem with having too many keys , you never know which is the right one” i heard one of them complain


” Go in and finish him quick, i’ll keep watch” his friend replied seeming not to mind his mate’s complaint.

“ah ten keys to go” he declared.
I crept back to my position , i bowed my head sobbing like a baby- i didnt want to die..


“five keys” he declared again from outside, i could sense he was smiling now…

I had loose hope now and i awaited my death which would come soon when i felt something, something cold and something slippery ,something that smelt familiar at my back!
