Mavin Records Deserves Best African Record Label Award: The Success Story
After the dissolution of Mo'hits records, Michael Collins Ajereh popularly known as Don Jazzy launched a new record label named 'Mavin records'. The record label was launched on May 2012.

Since its launch, Don Jazzy has led mavin records to greatness. The label has received several awards including the City People Entertainment award for Best Record Label Award for the year 2014. It has reproduced renown acts and produced several hit singles. The record label guided Wande Coal, Reekado Banks and Rema to the famous Headies Next Rated Awards for years 2008, 2015 and 2019 respectively.

On the celebration of their 7th year anniversary, Don Jazzy said,

"We will like to say a big thank you to all our fans and business partners for the love and support through the years. Mavin is 7 today and I am sooooo proud of what we have been able to achieve,” he wrote.

GOD has been faithful. We had some down times but I will be lying if I tell you I didn’t learn a lot from those times. Those down times made me and the team stronger and wiser than ever. I love and believe so much in my team.

“That been said, by the power vested in me, with so much fire in my belly, on behalf of the SUPREME MAVIN DYNASTY I say to every Mavin out there that #AllisInOrder.

Despite loosing Wande Coal, Tiwa Savage and Reekado Banks, Mavin records has added few young talents this year. Rema, Crayon, DNA, Ladi Poe, Di'ja, Korede Bello are currently under the mavin umbrella.

Mavin Records, Africa's leading record label has today announced an expansion of its operations with its new creative and corporate spaces.

The record label has been a principal of the music industry in Nigeria and beyond for nearly a decade now. This expansion comes in the face of recent global growth facing the Nigerian music industry. This is a testament of Mavin Record's growth and momentum. They have evolved with the times, sounds and technological demands of a dynamic industry.

Mavin shared the news in a statement signed by Michael Collins Ajereh a.k.a Don Jazzy, Founder/Chief Executive Officer of Mavin Records, “We are happy to move to our new spaces”.

Mavin Records has grown over the years on the corporate and creative side which influenced the decision to relocate our business to two separate spaces with the corporate space in Victoria Island, Lagos and the creative studios in Lekki, Lagos. The new spaces will help us ensure our teams are happier, further boost productivity and creativity as we continue to execute our growth plans." the statement read.

The expansion is a symbol of greatness. It elucidates how far Mavin records has come and how big the team's dream is. It also marks a necessary next step for the label as it broadens the scope of its dealings and enters the league of global entertainment brands.

According to Oghenejobo Tega, Chief Operating Officer of Mavin Records,

"This is a key step in the strategic growth of Mavin Records. Both offices were developed to meet the growth needs of Mavin as there have been recent hires across our corporate and creative teams driven by the need to deliver top-notch value for our talent roaster, industry stakeholders, fans and corporate clients. The spaces demonstrates the culture and ambition of Mavin in its continuous drive to deliver innovative services -- which includes brand partnerships, content production, publishing and influencer marketing."

Mavin records has practically risen from a struggling newly founded record label to the leading indigenous record label in the continent.
