Enyimba defeat Sundowns in final CAF Champions League group game

Enyimba rounded off their abysmal campaign in this year’s CAF Champions League, with a 3-1 win over Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa, at the Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.
The Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) champions, have failed to win any of their previous matches and went into the game already eliminated from the competition.

Mfon Udoh scored twice, while Uche John also netted a free-kick as the Aba team bowed out with pride.

The result comes that Sundowns – who qualify as group winners – and Zamalek of Egypt, are through to the semi-finals.

Enyimba finished bottom of the three-team group.
