Why Nneka is not on Nigerian Idol Season 5

It is no longer news that popular Nigerian German singer, Nneka Lucia Egbuna, simply known as Nneka will not be part of the Nigerian Idol Season 5.

Much has been written about the international music star’s MIA.
NET has gathered the singer is staying away this year because of work commitments.
Executive Director, Optima Media Group (OMG), Ugochi Pedro told a NET correspondent: ‘Nneka’s calendar for 2015 indicated that she would be unavailable for a significant number of weeks across the months of January to April, 2015. Her management was seriously interested in being a part of this Season 5, but there was not much we could do to sync our schedule with theirs.’

By virtue of Nneka’s unavailability, OMG has returned award-winning Nigerian vocalist and entertainer, Yinka Davies who first joined the show as a judge in 2009. Yinka will be on the show this year with R&B s£nsat!on, Darey Art Alade and Dede Mabiaku.
