Phillippine President Orders Police To Shoot Down Lockdown Offenders
The President of the Philippine, Rodrigo Duterte has ordered the police and security forces to shoot dead any citizen who defies the lockdown order imposed by the government.
About half of Philippine ‘s roughly 110 million people are currently under quarantine including millions in deep poverty, left jobless by tough restrictions on movement.
The outbreak of the novel coronavirus is getting worse more than two weeks into the lockdown.
The Philippines has so far recorded 2,311 cases with 96 deaths.
