Wizkid Is The Only Nigerian Artist Who Impresses Me – BBNaija Star, Phyna

Josephina Ijeoma Otabor, the controversial Big Brother Naija reality star, who is popularly known as Phyna, has revealed that Wizkid is the only Nigerian artist that impresses her.

She said the singer got endeared to her because of his recent social media outburst, lambasting those criticising him for rejecting the Afrobeats tag.

Recall that Wizkid sparked controversy with his recent announcement that he does not wish to identify as an Afrobeats artist anymore, and also issuing a statement blasting those who criticized him for denouncing the genre.

However, reacting via X platform, Phyna hailed the singer, saying he is the only Nigerian artist that impresses her.

She wrote in Pidgin: “Omo I’m loving Wizkid now oooh. Baba no send anybody papa. Gosh…shea person fit change fave? Bcuz like this eh!!! Na only Star boy dy do wetin dy sweet me…Una papa.”

Her post elicited mixed reactions, with many berating her for supporting such crass display while labelling her “razz and clout chaser.”
