EPL: Hojlund supports Man Utd midfielder’s concern over lack of game-time

Manchester United striker, Rasmus Hojlund, has expressed his desire to see compatriot, Christian Eriksen, receive more playing time after the midfielder revealed his unhappiness with his current role at Old Trafford under manager Erik ten Hag.

Eriksen has only started in nine of Man United’s Premier League games this season and has seen a reduction in his influence under Ten Hag.

Hojlund shared that he too has sat on the bench for Copenhagen and therefore understands Eriksen’s situation.

However, he confirms that Eriksen is still a class player who remains positive, helpful and a real professional.

He is hopeful that the former Inter Milan star will get more opportunities to play after the international break.

“I myself have sat on the bench for Copenhagen, so I know what that means,” Hojlund told TV2.

“But he holds his head high and he is a class player. Of course, you want to play football. And I’m sure he does too. [But] he trains well and is still very positive and very helpful, so it is not a big deal. He is a real professional.

“So it must be the coach’s decision whether he plays or not.”
