Kenneth Patrice Peasey, a 50-year-old man is accused of attacking and pointing a gun at a security guard who was manning his house over noise caused by barking dogs.

According to H-Metro, Kenneth Patrice Peasey, of Greystone Park, was taken to the Harare magistrates’ court facing assault and pointing a firearm charges.

Peasey, who was being represented by lawyer Tafadzwa Muvhami, denied the charges when he appeared before magistrate Victoria Mashamba who remanded him out of custody to May 11 for trial on US$20 bail.

He is accused of attacking and pointing a gun at Reagan Mashoko, a security guard with Mine Tech.

Prosecutor Idah Maromo alleges that on April 7 this year at around 9.30pm, Peasey was awoken by the noise of some dogs which were barking.

Armed with a Revolver Colt charged with six rounds of ammunition, Pease is alleged to have confronted Mashoko and questioned him over the barking dogs.

Further allegations are that Peasey started poking Mashoko with his gun all over the body before striking him on the forehead with the butt of the gun.

Peasey is alleged to have cocked the gun and pointed at Mashoko.

The security guard went to lodge a complaint with the police leading to the 50-year-old’s arrest.

Peasey is expected to appear in court on May 11 for trial.
