Organizers of the Headies Awards recently made a statement, announcing the date the award ceremony is scheduled to hold. The award which is organised to reward and appreciate the best of Nigerian music, has been scheduled to hold on March 24th, 2018. The organizers of the award made this announcement via their Instagram page.

The post also carries information that 4 new categories have been added to the Awards and that the year in review has been adjusted to accommodate more music materials released between July 2016 to December 2017. It was also stated in the post that the year in review for subsequent years will be January to December of each year.
