A pig has given birth to a mutant baby with an extra nose on its forehead in China. The animal, one of eight was born on January 17 at a farm in Rizhao city, Shandong Province. According to experts, the survival rate of the animal is not expected to be high.

The piglet was born at the Chenjiagou village in Rizhao's Donggang district.

The farmer named Chen Wei said that when the sow gave birth to the piglets, he was shocked to find that one of the eight young pigs had an extra nose on its forehead.

Experts told reporters that the reasons behind the deformity are complex and it may have been caused by abnormal fertilization.

The survival rate of the pig is not expected to be high.
