Shilla left the house very late and delighted for visiting. She promised to come back later and take Gift to see her house too.

Shilla got home very exhausted. She felt happy for visiting the little friend Gift.
Shilla felt it was worth it.

The reality of doctor Arnold asking her about her relationship with Phillip at work the following day hit in her mind hard and hard.

Shilla entered her car and waited for a while before starting the ignition.

She had to find a way to face his colleague at the office.
At her home now, her gateman opened the gate for her.

A reason known to her, Shilla used a different route to work that Monday morning.
She put on a smiling face before getting down from her car.

Shilla entered the office. Luck was on her side. Doctor Arnold had not yet reported when she entered.

A few minutes later, doctor Arnold entered her office looking a little surprised at Doctor Shilla.

He was not surprised as a result of Dr Shilla being early at work.

Dr Arnold knew his boss of being a time conscious person. Getting to work early was her daily routine but since Phillip entered her life,

Shilla either goes to work Thirty or forty minutes late always.
“good morning doctor Shilla” doctor Arnold greeted looking curious at Shilla .

Shilla responded with a broad smile. Knowing her colleague was trying to drive at something, she swiftly thought of what to say to doctor Arnold.
“Eeeeh , you seemed to have come early today. Shilla don’t tell me, you slept here over the weekend? or dont tell me they called you for emergency? Hope all is well” doctor Arnold inquired.

“Arnold !! Since when did I become a late comer” Shilla asked on a lighter note and looking serious.

“Hahahhha come on Shilla, I beg, don’t pretend you don’t know what I am saying”
Doctor Arnold said to her
“Well, let me tell you what your ears want to hear, ..ok.. Phillip has traveled to Dubai for a business summit. He will return in two weeks. Hope you are clear now or you still need an explanation” Dr Shilla said trying to make fun of her colleague Dr Arnold.
“by the way, I visited Gift. The little girl that had a surgery two months ago here. She was more than excited to see me. She is perfectly fine” she switched topics to avoid further questions about Phillip from Dr Arnold.

” So Phillip went to Dubai… Why couldn’t he go with my senior Doctor… Doctor Shilla ” Doctor Arnold said jokingly.

Shilla thought she would divert Dr Arnold’s attention.

” Please Arnold, am talking about a visit to Gift’s family, you are there with your Phillip Jokes, let’s talk serious business ” Dr Shilla said with serious face now.

” Ok..ok Dr Shilla, so tell me, talking of Gift, when will we have the trip to Dubai for the shopping?” Arnold inquired with keen interest.

“Will there be breathing space, I mean the time for us to take up that journey? Personally, I think we should select other staffs to take the trip” Shilla advised.

“doctor!, doctor!!, must you always be glued to your work? We better take up this journey because I really want to see, touch and feel Dubai and also relax because I’m stressed out, I have never been to Dubai…. Wait assuming they say we are going tomorrow meaning we may meet Phillip there in Dubai” Doctor Arnold disclosed jokingly.

Shilla laughed, because of her serious Arnold was no matter his Phillip joke, She saw what doctor Arnold said very amusing.

Arnold joined Shilla in the laughter.

“by the way Shilla, I have a very weird information about one of our nurses. You won’t believe it” Doctor Arnold disclosed with a serious face.

“Heheeee wait Arnold…since when did you become a gossip?” Shilla asked on a lighter note though she was curious to know what it was.
They both laughed.

Doctor Arnold promised to tell her later. He left Shilla’s office.
The female doctor gave out a loud sigh of relief.

Shilla had to find ways and means to avoid the topic of Phillip once and for all.

She felt relieved about the fact that doctor Arnold didn’t really know Phillip in person.

Shilla put on her white overcoat, picked a file and her gadget.

She exited her office to the out patient department.

After, it was now around 1pm, Shilla drove out of the hospital to a restaurant that was a few meters away from the hospital to have lunch.

At the restaurant, Shilla ordered for her favourite, Chips and fish with a chilled coke.

While Shilla was busily enjoying the meal,

a young man asked if he could join her at the table.

Shilla, started panicking, she lifted her eyes and scanned the guy from his face to his knees.
The young man was five point five feet tall, Seventy two kilogram in weight, dark in complexion, a chocolate guy, he had a very handsome look.
He had an innocent handsome face. His neat white shirt was tucked in his black trouser. He had a black tie to match his trouser and black shoes well polished. Something caught Shilla’s eyes that made her smile.

There was an identity card that was pinned to the pocket on his left breast.

Shilla’s smile gave the young man a signal that she was cool.
He sat down on opposite seat facing Shilla without Shilla giving him the permission.
Shilla read well what was written on the I.D card.

The card disclosed that he was Alvin, a news editor at Step FM, The young man realised Shilla’s eyes was fixed on his identity card.

He smiled, revealing his dimple. The young man was a definition of handsomeness.
A waiter attended to the young man and he ordered for the same food Shilla was eating.
“Sorry madam i hope you don’t mind I ordered the same food you are enjoying?” the young man asked with a smile.
” Its fine, you don’t need to be sorry, not at all… But you have said nothing about yourself to me or I’m probably intruding on your privacy, because right now everyone thinks we are buddies” Shilla said.

“not at all miss. I thought you are okay with the information on my I.D card” the young man said and they both laughed.
“well, my name as shown on my ID card is ALVIN MAFABI. I am a news editor at Step Fm, one of United’s group of companies, and i also work with OPEN GATE FM all based in Mbale” he disclosed.

“wow, that is cool. Actually my favorite station is OPEN GATE FM. I always listen to captain Dola, Lady Peace and Poly – Polycarp” Shilla disclosed.
“Wait a minute. Is it his real name or it’s just a Polycarp ” Shilla asked.

“Well, wait till you see him in person. I can’t say much for now. Would you mind telling me about yourself?” the young man was eager to know her. As he all thought, the Lady was also from his region, little did he know, Shilla Originated from Soroti, 100kilometers away from Mbale.

“oh! Forgive me for my bad manners. I am Adeke Shilla, am an Itesot from Soroti, I am a medical doctor. A pediatrician to be precised. You can always locate me at Family Hospital” Shilla disclosed with a smile.
“a medical doctor?” Alvin said looking at his shoulders.
“Why are you looking around. Are you expecting someone?” Shilla asked.

“Not really. Just making sure no one slaps me from behind. Medical doctors have big men around them always” The young man said and Shilla laughed coz She knew what he was driving at.

“Doctor Shilla is very single. You have no cause for alarm, relax Alvin and feel at home” Shilla disclosed.

“are you trying to say a beautiful lady like you is not dating? Are men all blind apart from me or what?” he was surprised

“well, I don’t blame men. I blame myself. I am always busy with work. I am supposed to travel to Dubai but because of work, I’m trying hard to avoid the trip” Shilla disclosed as she bragged off.

“oh girl, don’t be too hard on yourself. You have to slow down. You need time for yourself” Alvin advised.
They got to know each other well, exchanged contacts and parted ways.

Shilla felt relieved. She thanked God for making her have lunch at the restaurant that day.

The restaurant was were she usually ate but stopped going there due to busy schedules as well as her time with Phillip.
Shilla drove back to the hospital with renewed strength. Alvin was a news editor which is a good profession. He was as well in one of the biggest media houses in Mbale.

She sat in the swivel chair and smiled to herself. To her, things would turn out well with Alvin because they found each other. Nobody linked them.
Nature actually linked them, probably God could have played a part this time around, which was a good luck and no one to blame.

Doctor Arnold entered in Shilla’s office to see her in a world of her own.

He stared at her for sometime before clearing his throat to let the young lady know he was in the office.

” Shilla how much did you buy that smile? ” Dr Arnold asked her what had made her happy that afternoon.

Shilla lied that Phillip had promised to marry her.
” Ooh Doctor Shilla congratulations this is something I yearned to hear, so soon I will visit Soroti for the first time” Arnold told her how happy he was for her.

” Shilla am not against the relationship as you thought earlier, but I always advised you to be careful with men, if you meet someone for the first time, don’t show excitement, don’t even tell them you are single, this will make the pretend, that’s just my say. ” Dr Arnold said.

” Dr Arnold do not bring back the past here, The two doctors had fun in the office………
