Read Story: SEASON 1 EPISODE 13

“Well, I think doctor Aaron is a good guy. Or what do i think?” Shilla thought to herself.

After work, Shilla called Norah and Dorah on phone to meet her at their usual hang out joint because she needed their advice on her new relationship.

They responded positively and promised to meet her.

Shilla asked Moses to take her to Legends bar at Naguru.
Dorah was already seated and sipping Club beer when Shilla arrived.

She joined her with a smile.
A waiter attended to her and Shilla ordered for her favorite beer, Guinness.

“wow, a friend like no other” Shilla said with a smile
“a sister from another mother” Dorah replied and the Two ladies laughed their hearts out.
Just then, Norah arrived in her BMW X5 car.

She joined the other two and ordered for their favorite beer as well.

“Shilla, are you saying you don’t trust me anymore? Are you still doubting the gentleman I linked you too” Norah asked looking a bit surprised
“Come on Norah, don’t get me wrong. I really trust you girls with my life especially you” Shilla said.

“It’s the gentleman I am worried about. We all know how my relationshi with the other guys went. I just want to be safe this time around, I feel am messing up in life, I don’t think one day you will be happy if I contacted AIDS ” Shilla explained herself.

“Norah, I don’t think you should take things personal here. Shilla wants to be sure things won’t turn out bad with Aaron as it did with the others. I would’ve done same if I were in her shoes” Dorah added her voice.

“oh girls, please don’t get one another wrong. Shilla has explained herself and I think she is on track. Shilla, I will advise that you slow down with this relationship and study Aaron very well. We used to be in the same hood when we were teenagers and nothing bad was said about him but who knows, human beings change with time so just relax and study him for a while” Dorah advised.

“Dorah has said it all. I want to study this gentleman very well before i jump into the relationship. So far as he is a doctor which is a perfect profession, he is thirty percent qualified to have you but let’s see his real identity first” Dorah still advised her friend.

The three ladies agreed that Shilla must slow down with the relationship with Aaron to see who he really was.

They spoke on things that was of interest to them. Had fun for a while.

Shilla introduced her driver to the ladies before they all departed to their various homes.

Shilla checked her Rolex watch when they got to her house. It was a few minutes past Ten in the evening.

She told Moses to take the car home but advised him to pick her early the following day.
Moses thanked her madam and drove off.

Shilla spoke to her gateman before going to her room.
She washed down and went straight to bed.

Lying on her bed, she was very happy with the fact that she had friends that had her back.
As she was thinking about how wonderful her friends were,
” If you were mine” a song by Fernando’s filled the air. It was her ringing tone.

Shilla took the phone and checked the caller identity. It was Aaron. She made the song play for a while before answering the call.

The song was her favorite track. The soft and calm voice of Aaron filled her ears.

” Hi Shilla, gudevnin? How was yo beautiful day?” Aaron inquired.

” Hello all has been well, I hop u had a a nice one too?” Shilla replied.

After exchanging greetings,
” Shilla am a little afraid, why won’t you be able to meet me during the weekend? ” Aaron inquired.

” I will have to be very apologetic first, there is a patient that needed to be attended to” Shilla responded.
Aaron was cool with everything she said. The young man was gentle in every way which amazed Shilla.

She tried hard to believe if he was real or just pretending after the call.

Shilla thought about the young man for a while before sleep took over.

Moses drove in to the house before Shilla woke up. It was too early to judge but she was cool with the driver being conscious of time.

The driver being aware he was thirty minutes early, decided to wait in the car to wait for his madam.

He had no intention of disturbing the doctor. Because of his wife, he respected women who were into professions that were meant for men.

A few minutes later, Shilla joined the driver in the car. She greeted him with a smile.

” Moses you were so early today” Shilla said smiling
“well, I don’t trust the streets of Kampala. There is traffic wherever you pass and to avoid rush hour is to leave the house early. Also, if I come to work late, you will as well go to work late. Productivity is therefore delayed” Moses disclosed.

He turned the ignition and it responded with ease. The security guard opened the gate for the car.

” Moses how I wish all workers will think and act like you. Wait a minute. You look more intelligent than I thought. Why are you driving instead of doing something better” Shilla asked.

“I don’t think driving is a bad profession, this is what I trained, and am happy doing it” Moses said politely.

” Hahaha Moses my friend, come on since when did driving become a good profession? I seriously don’t see it as such. Driving is for uneducated people but you look very educated” Shilla argued.

“madam, I don’t think driving is a bad profession as you see it. I read Environment and Management engineering at Kyambogo University but decided to do driving because it’s a profession I love. If there was a driving course in the university, I would have gone for it” Moses said to the amazement of his boss Shilla which made her to laugh.
Shilla stared at the driver who was focused on the street. They got to Wandegeya traffic lights and the red light switched on. The driver stopped and turned to his boss.

” My boss just imagine everyone became a doctor like yourself, a bank manager like my wife, nurse, teacher, journalist, engineer, pilot, directors etc, who would have become a driver to drive you, a mechanic to fix your car? A market woman who goes to villages to get food stuffs to serve us? The shoe maker to shine and mend our shoes? The cobbler to make shoes for us to wear and look good? So you see every profession is very important?. We are all equal no matter the profession” Moses lectured.

The green light turned on and he focused on the streets. The look on Shilla’s face told the young man she was not in agreement with Moses.

He was proud and happy with what he was doing.

Shilla didn’t utter a word till they got to the hospital.
She got down from the car and the first person she met was Doctor Arnold.

Doctor Arnold asked her about the services of the driver and she confessed that he was very good.

Shilla disclosed to her colleague that the driver was very crazy to have abandoned his Engineering for a driving profession nobody respects.
Doctor Arnold laughed. He shook his head and brushed the topic aside because he knew Shilla had no idea when it came to professions.

Shilla told her colleague about the little girl Gift’s birthday party and asked him to accompany her but doctor Arnold disclosed that he had an outing to do with his family after church on that Sunday.

Shilla understood him.

Shilla had worked with doctor Arnold for more than 3yrs and therefore knew him.

When it comes to his family, he doesn’t joke with them. He was a perfect family man. Shilla most often wished he was her husband.

Shilla got out of the office that day after work to see Doctor Aaron’s car parked beside her own with the young man waiting patiently in the car.
She got closer, surprised and waved at him.

She realised there was another guy in the car.

Shilla was greeted with a smile that almost carried her away.
“you should have alerted me when you came” Shilla said leaning on the window after greeting the two men.

“it’s a surprise call on you.

Please get into the car. We need to talk. I can’t wait for next weekend. I as well want to introduce you to some of my friends” Aaron disclosed.

“oh really? No problem. Let me talk to my driver and get back to you” Shilla said and without waiting for his response, left him and went to talk to Moses.
She told him to take the car home. Shel pleaded with him to pick her early the following day.
Moses told his boss not to worry because he would always pick her on time.

Shilla left him and Moses drove out of the hospital.

Shilla joined doctor Aaron and his friend in the car and they as well drove off…………
