>>>The battle of words was between Mrs Yusuf and nurse Gbemisola….. Before nurse Gbemisola left my office, she told me she was #confidently ready to meet the deceased’s wife, I continued attending to other important issues.

>>>At exactly 10:05 in d morning, one of my nurses came into my office to tell me that the expected visitors were around….I told her to bring them in…. Instantly, I called Dr Korede, informing him of their arrival and he promised to join us in a jiffy….. I adjusted myself on seat to face the #unprecedented talk.

>>Rasaq, the brother to Mrs Yusuf walked in at once with d deceased’s wife….. Contrary to what I had expected, they were looking friendly, smiling broadly as they exchanged pleasantries with me….. To even disappoint nurse Gbemisola, they did not come with #policemen….I offered them seats…., as they were sitting down, Dr Korede and nurse Gbemisola walked in…., seeing the joyful mood they met us, they too relaxed a bit…..I began to ask myself what could have been responsible for the joyful mood they came in with, because when they were leaving the previous day, they left in #tensed mood….. Well, since every involved person was present, the show must commence…..

DR SANYA: You are welcome, lady and gentleman… For the sake of introduction, (pointing to Dr Korede) here seated is Dr Korede, my doctor assistant, and this is nurse…..

NURSE GBEMI: Ok, because we know ourselves now, that’s why you are insinuating that I may have a hand in d death of the deceased, abi?

[ In my mind, I knew the show has begun…..Nurse Gbemisola was not appearing confused, and I liked that]

[There was shock on my face and that of Dr Korede…. I was able to successfully hide my own shock but Dr Korede couldn’t hide his]

DR KOREDE: A threat?

NURSE GBEMI: Yes, she issued a threat on my life when she got to know that I was somehow involved with her husband….

RASAQ: Did u just say you were somehow involved with her late husband?

NURSE GBEMI: Uncle Rasaq, don’t overblow this issue, we are adults. See, there are so many things u never understood about the affair between the late Yusuf and I….. Why did u go to this woman to report what u never #verified? Most times, things are not what they appear to be. You shouldn’t have gone ahead to tell her about me….You even went as far as giving her my phone number….Habaaa! Why did u take paracetamol for another man’s headache?

[ In my mind, I was solely interested in d aspect of the threat issued on nurse Gbemisola’s life because that’s what was related to d issue at hand but I noticed that the talk wasn’t centered on the cause of the death any longer but on individual #love_life…..Dr Korede and I looked on at them…. ]

NURSE GBEMI: You mis-led this woman

MRS YUSUF: Lady, nobody mis-led me….. It was u who took my calmness for granted…..

[ Nurse Gbemisola cut in]

NURSE GBEMI: Were u calm? Could we call all u displayed then calmness?….You cursed me severally, remember? You even went as far as threatened me with police arrest….As if u were my creator, you told me how my life would end up if I didn’t leave your man…..but you were careless….. You never bothered to know why I never wanted to leave your man. Or were u thinking it was because of love? God forbid. Yusuf wasn’t a good man….., that was why when my boss here(talking about me) kept on talking about him as a good friend, I marveled.

DR SANYA: Don’t let’s over-flog this issue of love matter, that’s not the main thing. Nurse Gbemisola, you made me realise today that you have pieces of information that can bring to limelight the killer of the late Mr Yusuf

NURSE GBEMI: Of course, I do….and that was what I thought we were here for…

[ Hearing this, Mr Rasaq and d deceased’s wife suddenly appeared calm…..,waiting to hear the revelation that nurse Gbemisola has for them…]

DR KOREDE: We must remove sentiments from this gathering…., that’s if we are going to come out with anything meaningful.

NURSE GBEMI: It’s all right. Help me ask this woman what she finally did when she realised that I wasn’t ready to quit with her husband….

[ We all turned questioning look at Mrs Yusuf…. We didn’t talk at all before she started talking….]

MRS YUSUF: Oh my God. I hope u are not trying to think that I harmed my husband?

It’s normal to react angrily…..In my own case, I was very furious….I felt disappointed, I felt betrayed…., even when I confronted him of d allegation of dating u, he beat me up. I really suffered in his hands…., he molested me severally all because of u. I got fed up and I was forced to discuss my relationship with an intimate friend of mine for d first time…..After hearing my plight, the friend #pitied me and she decided to assist……
