“Watching over your girl sleep. Angelic it is, really”. She continued talking as she came closer then she paused for a moment to stare at me.

” I didn’t see that coming. You’re already wearing her things? “. She winked at me then went to take a closer look at her Sister.
” isn’t she Beautiful?”. She said caressing Sharon’s hair, all this while I was just smiling at her, didn’t say a word.
“Did she tell you my Dad calls her princess? I don’t know why she’s everyone’s…..”.
” you’re in a senior class without permission am sure you know that”. I cut in smiling at her.

“An empty senior class”. She shrugged then I gave her an intense look.
” Well except for two people, one’s sleeping and the other…. “.
” Apologize that’s all it’d take young lady”. I said and she sighed, then stood like a soldier and saluted me.
“Am sorry senior”. She said and I laughed.
” Better “. I nodded. she tried climbing my desk but couldn’t so I had to pull her up and she sat next to me on the desk.
” so, where are you going for honeymoon? Kingdom of far far away? “. She asked.
” why are you so obsessed with Shrek?”. I scoffed.

“Seems you’re obsessed with it too?”. She said then hit me with her shoulder.
” Me? I hate cartoons “. I lied. We kept chatting, arguing and making jokes with each other till it was break over.

” oh, here we go again”. She scoffed loudly. I could tell she was enjoying herself.
“Yeah, here we go”. I said and came down from my desk quickly, and gave her my hand to hold onto so she can jump down, she stalled.

” Jenny knows “. She informed me smiling, but you could tell she was worried then I shrugged.

” it wasn’t really a secret, was it?”. I asked her and shrugged then held my hand and came down, looked at Sharon again.
“Be the best, that’s what she deserves”. She hit my chest and ran out as our classmates started trooping in. Kelvin and Kingsley walked up to me, had our greetings.
” Wetin you give your Caro wey make am dey gbe(sleep)?”. Kingsley asked referring to Sharon.

“Na one kind spell like that”. I boasted.
“I go like know that spell oh”. He said and shook hands with me again.
” She is sleeping like an angel”. Kelvin admired Sharon from where we stood and we laughed.

“You don see Angel wey dey sleep before?”.

” Abeg make una freestyle. How far Wetin play for Tuck shop”. I asked getting them to change the topic.

“Mtcheew, leave those STJs them. They wan take us gather post. I no even know Wetin make smart no free us make we run enter them”. Kingsley ranted. I almost laughed watching him with his one leg stance vibrating. He is quite a fierce dude whenever he is fit.

” I tell you nah, Time never reach. Make ss3s them grad first. We go play them any tape wey they wan hear”. Kelvin said calmly. We kept chatting, plotting on how we were going to face the ss2 when time comes, I even joined them to their side where we(outlawz) gathered in full making suggestions on the way forward. We have a free period after break on Fridays.

I wasn’t just there because I had to be with the outlawz but I also gave Sharon chance to have a nice nap. periodically I’d watch to make sure no one disturbed her. When she eventually woke up I didn’t know, Bully was the one that brought it to my notice. I turned to see her searching for me with her eyes. I sneaked out of their mist and walked up to her, she smiled at me and I returned her smile too.

“How’s the dreamworld? cherry”. I asked her and she smiled at me.
” I Didn’t dream “. she shrugged and I feigned a frown.
” And I thought you were dreaming about me”. I teased and she laughed, she brought out her hand towel and wiped her face.
“How long did I sleep?”. she looked curious.
“hmmm, I don’t know. maybe not long enough”. I shrugged and she said nothing. She used the towel to cover her face.
” Did you take pap in the morning?”. I asked her and she smiled then shook her head.

“What? You think that’s why am Sleepyhead today?” She asked, her eyes were still dizzy.
“I guess you why know then”. I shrugged.
“Of course I do. I slept late last night”. She said still trying to wipe her face off sleep.
” Movies?”. I asked smiling and she nodded.
“Makes the two of us”. I laughed.
” No it doesn’t. I don’t do it normally but this one always have my attention “. She said.

” what’s the name?”. I asked her.
“Kyle xy season 2″. She la!d back her head on the desk. I smiled to myself when I heard the name because it was my favourite TV series then too. Kyle a Genius created in a lab, he didn’t have a bellybutton and he was adopted by a family whose mother was meant to be his psychologist. He later got a girlfriend Amanda. I started singing the soundtrack song of the series.

I know those eyes, they get me back in time”. I sang, she sat up staring at me in amazement. The whole class paused immediately, it’s been long I sang and maybe they missed my Voice.
” she could be you I wouldn’t even know
She could be you, but that was long ago”. She smiled as I sang the chorus, the sleep in her eyes disappeared. Once I stopped she clapped as she laughed and my classmates joined too.

“You have to teach me that song”. Chidimma shouted from the front.
” yea me too”. Sarah the Lord of gossips said. Most girls wanted to learn the song,.seems all of them were watching the movie too.

“So you watch it too?”. She asked and I shrugged.

” Everybody does”. I said.
“I guess you’re my Kyle now”. She laughed. It was business studies period soon and well he wasn’t so boring that day as he brought on a new topic ” occupation “. It was an interactive class so he carried everyone along in the teaching so much that I didn’t get to wink at Sharon, He used up his double period then Civic another vibrant lady came in.

School dismissed by 2:00pm, Sharon and i still sat there talking and laughing till Kelvin walked up to us.

” you are welcome to trek home with us,It’s always fun”. He invited Sharon.
