I left the House dragging Silvia with me. I
knew they would do my bidding. They know
what I could do with a knife. I was wrong
I took Silvia to Abakpa housing estate with the
hope of seeing Junior. We waited for Five
hours but Junior did not show up. While we
were waiting, I tried to encourage Silvia by
telling her to be bold and stand her grounds
else she will regret her servitude to our elder
ones. Silvia is easily the prettiest of us all, she
is a svelte and she knows it. The problem with
her is that she is not assertive, thus she
allowed her life to be controlled by Caroline
and Pauline. She dropped from school at S.S 1
and had joined in the long wait for Mummy’s
Money. Silvia is lighter in complexion and
slimmer than the rest of us. Her statistics are
perfect for a model. She would make a
successful Model and with my experience and
connection in the Fashion world, she would go
places. I told her I would help her realize her
dream but she should not tell our elder Sisters
about what we discussed.

Chinedu did not come around that day so we
left back for the barracks around 6:00PM. She
asked me why we went to the estate instead
of any other place; I told her I wanted to
reminisce on the memory of our Child hood in
the estate that was why I brought her there.

We got back to the Barracks and Silvia went
straight to their Shop. I proceeded to the
Batcher to meet the surprise of my life.

Immediately I entered the house, Lawal and
Caroline came inside and shut the door.

Caroline went for the Knife immediately and
held on to it. Lawal advanced towards me
pulling his Army belt from his waist.

You! He said. So you don big pass who your
Sister fit control ko?

I got the message; I knew what Lawal is
capable of doing. He was going to beat me up.
As I opened my mouth to scream for help, he
gave me a kick that spun me over the
mattress, he was upon me before I could
recover, dealing me blows with his belt, his fist
and his boot. I opened my mouth to scream
but no sound came out, my throat was dried, I
was not prepared for what befell me. Lawal
dealt me several blows on every part of my
body, whenever I ran for the door; Caroline
pushed me back to my tormentor, threatening
me with the Knife in her hands.

I saw the belt coming down, I stretched out
my right hand and held unto the belt, he pulled
at the belt but I did not let go, he used his
boot once again and kicked me in the face, I
was dazed, I bit hard into my tongue, I thought
my tongue was cut, I spat unto my palm and I
saw a tooth in my hand, I had lost a tooth.

The house was upside down as we had upturned everything during the scuffle. I could hear noise of people banging on the door from
outside.

I could not see clearly, I saw blood all over
me, I tried to stand up but my limbs were too
heavy. I saw Lawal wearing his belt and going
towards the door, Caroline looked at me with
scorn; she stuck out her tongue and spat at
me. I passed out.
