“I spent hours locating the main road” David continued. “After i finally came out from the forest, i stopped a taxi, explained my conditions to the driver and he helped me. That’s how i got home. How did i get to the forest, Dad?” David asked.
“Come my son” the father opened his hands then David found refuge in them.
After an hour, they set to Fumbi hospital. Meanwhile, Mr Robinson had called Mrs Williams. He told her that his son had been found and his story too. Mrs Williams broadcasted the news to Monica and her friends. Yet, David had
not been told what happened to him.
“Where are we going, Dad? And why have any of u refused to tell me what happened to me?” David asked inside the car.
“Don’t worry, you will know everything, son” the father replied.

At Fumbi hospital, David was going inside with his parents and sister wondering what they were doing in the hospital. When they opened the room Udoka la!d, he saw Mrs Williams and his friends except Mike. His eyes caught with Udoka’s instantly.
“David?” Udoka called.

“Udoka” David went closer to her slowly. “What happened to u?”
“Are you still mad at me?” Udoka
ignored the question.
“Was i mad at you?”
“You broke up with me” Udoka’s voice began to break.
“I did?” David became confuse. Both looked at their parents and asked at the same time, “What’s going on?”
“It’s a long story my children” Mrs
Williams began. She told Udoka how Sandra wanted to kill her and eventually died. She also told David how Mike poisoned his food and developed hatrate for Udoka. She never omitted the pregnancy part.

David and Udoka stared at each other speechlessly after the long story.

“That explained why i found myself in the forest..” David said.

“Wait” Udoka interrupted. “I’m
pregnant?” she asked surprisingly.
“Yes, three weeks old. And who is
responsible for it?” Mrs Williams wasn’t smiling again.

Udoka’s heartbeat changed. “I’m so sorry, mother” she said bitterly.
“That’s not the answer to my question, Udoka”
“I’m responsible” David answered then all stared at him. He looked at Udoka, “Yes, I’m responsible” he added and looked at his parents too. “Please, I’m sorry” he said.

Udoka became surprise likewise
everybody in the room. Their faces began to brighten up gradually. Just then, the door cracked opened. Guess who? Sunny and Trust!
“Oga Sunny!” Udoka called smiling. “What are you guys doing here?”
“I called them” Monica replied.
“Oh, my darling, Udoka” Trust said going to touch her but Sunday dragged him back.
“Who is your darling?” he glared.
“You have started again”
“Look at your darling over there” Sunday pointed at Monica.

“Oga Sunny, mind yourself oh” Monica frowned but one could trace a smile on her face.
“Abeg, let us greet our darling, Udoka” Sunny and Trust went closer and hugged her while all giggled at their funny drama.

A year after Udoka delivered twins-boys, she got married to David. Mike remained in the police cell for months before he was bailed.
