My instagram Love - Season 1 - Episode 59

Francesca shrugged a shoulder this time around, grimacing. “Well, I wouldn’t actually put it that way, but that’s pretty much what’s up.”

“You’re nothing but a dullard.” I’d been pushed to the wall to use vulgar words which were against my principles, but at the moment, those principles never mattered to me due to my rage. “A dunderhead, a nincompoop – these are the words that qualifies you best because you’re just plain stupid for a twenty-eight-year-old lady who’s meant to be a wife soon. I wonder how you even turned out this way. Where’s the old you for God’s sake? Where’s the considerate, gentle and loving Francesca I fell in love with?”

“Sorry to burst your bubbles, sir, but she grew up.”

“Grew up to become a mean pest, I guess?” I countered, furrowing my eyebrows and clenching my fist. “Tell me how many times I’ve logged into your account to threaten and block any of your friends, Francesca?”

“For the record, none.” She admitted, still making a face. “But that’s because I have nothing to hide. There are no skeletons in my closet unlike someone else who’s busy ranting and pouring saliva on my face right now. I wonder why he’s taking it this serious if his hands are so clean as he always claims!”

“Are you indirectly accusing me of infidelity, woman?”
“Indirectly?” She burst out laughing, clapping her hands in a rather mocking manner. “See, nna, I’m telling you this thing one-on-one tonight. It’s a basic fact. I don’t need a soothsayer to let me know you’re cheating on me with those ladies on your so-called contacts list. So far, even your facial expressions and your reactions have shown that you’re guilty as charged. So tell me, what’s the point of accusing you indirectly when your conscience is already flogging you nonstop? Look here! God is fighting my battle! All I need to do is relax and watch your reactions until you confess.”
Hitting a woman was one thing I had vowed never to do till the day I would cease to exist on Earth. I was absolutely sure that ninety-one percent of other regular men wouldn’t put up with Francesca’s attitude for so long if they were in my shoes. She would’ve received the beating of her life a long time ago, but I didn’t have such barbaric mentality because of my disciplined upbringing. I believed more in changing people’s mindsets as a solution to their misbehavior, but in most cases, not everyone could be changed especially when their foundation happens to be rotten from childhood.

Sadly, Francesca belonged to this particular category. There was a possibility that she could be changed with time, but she never wanted to accept anybody’s rules but hers and hers alone! She liked to do things her own way without being answerable to anyone else, and it was pissing me off occasionally. It was sickening, maddening and very tiring for me. I didn’t know what else to do about her ignorance. Staying in the house much longer than I already had could tip me over the fence in a sense that I could be pushed to do something I didn’t want to do to her, so I went upstairs—straight into the master bedroom, grabbed my wallet and put it in my back pocket, then I took a jacket and a black cap and wore them both before going back downstairs.
