My instagram Love - Season 1 - Episode 58

On second thought, even if she did leave a message for me or called from time to time just as I assumed she must’ve done, how was I supposed to know about that since my phone was stolen in the course of the robbery? I kept on thinking, searching for her Instagram handle among other usernames which were listed in the alphabetical order. I searched for more than 3 minutes, but I couldn’t find hers. I was alarmed at first, thinking I could still find her handle if I looked harder, but after another fruitless search I soon came to the startling realization that the unthinkable had happened at last. No traces of her username, no visible chat history, and no signs of her previous posts where had I been tagged and even commented on.
I never saw it coming. It finally dawned on me that I had been blacklisted from Duchess_Lawlar’s account. Who would’ve ever thought that Lola of all people could do such a thing to me despite our closeness. I was on the verge of jumping into conclusion when I noticed something else again.
I couldn’t find the usernames of some other important people on the list, like Sarah Edwards who happens to be my trusty colleague at the main hospital where I work; Christiana Olamide, a cancer patient who I’d been assigned to care for; Hannah Abiodun, a beautiful young lady who happens to be suffering from sickle cell anaemia; and a lot of other close people who I didn’t even offend. Another thing I noticed was that a bunch of ladies were the only ones missing on the list. Not even a single man removed me from his friends list, which begs the question: how was it possible for a particular group of ladies to just decide to block me without stating their reasons for taking such drastic measures? How come?

In all honesty, I was so confused. The more I tried to think of an answer, the more confused I became. I was still trying to dig out the truth from the root of the matter when the demoness herself returned downstairs, now dressed in a pure white nightgown, walking in a leisurely manner.

“In case you are wondering what’s up with your precious side chicks,” she said, wearing her hairnet gently, “I personally blocked them all.”
“What?” I almost couldn’t believe my ears as those words sank all the way into my cochlea, forcing me to widen my eyes on impulse. “What effrontery! What did you just say?”

“You heard me loud and clear.” She answered, shrugging. “I did what had to be done. Don’t blame me for loving you this much. You should’ve known I’m a go-getter, a lioness, a sU-Cker for love. I fear no one and I’m willing to do anything to retain my man’s heart. I’m a jealous woman. I can’t simply stand by and watch you flirt with other shameless women because I know I’ll surely be the one at the losing end eventually. I mean, try to picture yourself in my awful shoes. It’s not so easy to cope with issues like this one, you know?”

I gaped at her in disbelief, getting up from the chair. “So in essence, what you’re trying to tell me is that your insecurity pushed you to log into my account, scanned the whole of my contacts and blocked whosoever you felt like removing just like that?”
