Folake and Ndidi are walking to the lodge.
Folake says the police inspector is the key they need.
Ndidi looks apprehensive.
Folake tells her to relax.

Oviyon walks up to them to ask for Senami.
Folake says she followed Dethin to the shrine.
He says again?
Folake tells him to talk to Senami about it.
Oviyon says she doesn't listen to him.
Folake says they've resumed their hide and seek games but not to worry as she is also playing one of her own.
He asks what it is.
She teases him about wanting the hear gossip.

Jonah is with Fonton at home, sorting out the items on the marriage list.

Peace comes in and hugs Jonah.
Fonton tells her to look at all Jonah has brought to show she's not marrying a pauper.
Peace looks unsure.

Zosu meets Oviyon in the village to ask if there is any job for the boys.
Oviyon says there is something coming up soon and he should tell the boys that there will soon be work.

Senami is still at the shrine
She asks why Mausi is scared of the hand.
Mausi doesn't respond.
Senami says her grandmother gave her and says it was for her grandfather.
Mausi says she gave the hands to Iya Minasu.
Senami asks whose hands they are.
Mausi says Iya Minasu helped her to escape.
Senami says it means there was another Mausi.
Mausi says she has always told Senami that.
Senami says so the other Mausi was the one whom she met when she was younger and she was the one who said her grandmother was a witch.
She says she doesn't want the hands anymore.
Mausi says it belongs to the Minasu bloodline now.
Senami says no.
She leaves the hands and walks away.

Fonton comes to the clinic.
He meets Zansi who tells him she's not interested in Boku Naira if that's why he has come.
Fonton asks why she wouldn't listen to her husband; after all, they were once married and he demands respect.
She says she didn't respect him back then and he wants it now.
He says she's saying it with pride that she didn't respect him back then.
She says it wasn't a good thing for her to see a man without ambition and prospect and she couldn't respect.
He asks if she's speaking to him like that.
She says there is no difference between him back then and now, he's been dragging land with his nephew and wearing a cap about and jumping from one scam to the other.
Fonton is too stunned to respond.
She tells him to aim higher and think of something good to do with his life.

Obi comes to the shrine.
His attendants bring a chicken and some yams.
He tells Mausi that her land has been marked as part of the area for the free trade zone the government wants to establish in Aji.
She asks how that is her business.
Obi says the shrine will be affected.
She says they told him they want to desecrate a sacred area and he ran to the shrine with yams; is that how cheap he thinks the ancestors are?
He asks if she can move the shrine to another area.
She says no.
He says the government is inflexible and he doesn't know what to do.
She tells him to go and not to worry about the government because the owners of the land will fight for it by themselves.
She walks away.

Oviyon meets up with Senami as she's getting to the lodge.
He asks if she's okay.
She says he shouldn't be there.
He says they don't have a choice but to talk after what happened.
She says she doesn't want to talk about it.
He says he knows she's scared and confused but she can imagine what he feels too.
She hugs him and says she's scared and he should be too.
He says he can't be scared of her and he knows everything will be okay.
She says even if it turns out she's a witch?

Totai and the boys are drinking palm wine at Sulah's joint.
Zosu joins them and tells them about Oviyon's upcoming deal.
Totai says they can't become labourers for Oviyon.
Zosu asks if he has a better plan.
They argue and almost come to blows.
Zosu walks away.

Fonton is in front of his house.
Michael Wealth comes to see him.
Fonton tells him the business is doing well and he has invited 5 more people.
Michael is not thrilled but says Fonton will become a bronze member and with time, he will move up to silver and then gold.
Fonton says he wants to grow and become like Michael.
Michael tells him to prove it by bringing 500 thousand naira and he will join the board and they can even change the name to Fonton Boku Naira.
Fonton is excited.
Michael tells him to bring a million so he can become a director.
Fonton becomes even more excited.

Folake and Ndidi are walking through the village.
Michael sees them and calls out to Ndidi.
She ignores him.
He asks if it's because of the useless girl.
Folake tells him that Ndidi has told her everything about the animal that he is.
He asks what she said
Folake says he will pay for all he has done to Ndidi.
Michael asks Ndidi if she will stay and listen to Folake talk to him like that.
Ndidi tells him to leave her alone as she wants nothing to do with him.
They walk away.

Senami is inside the lodge.
Oviyon brings her a mug of tea.
She thanks him.
He asks if she's ready to talk now.
She says it's obvious she's a witch.
He says it's not true
She says she went to see Mausi and all this time she has been blaming Mausi for what happened to her grandmother whereas it was the old Mausi who was responsible, even when they were kids.
Oviyon says it makes sense.
Senami says Mausi knew about her grandmother and her grandmother took care of her and tried to help her.
Oviyon says they lied about her grandmother but Senami still believes she's a witch.
Senami says she knows there is something tying her grandmother to Mausi, like some magic stuff and it's tied to the Minasu bloodline.
Oviyon asks why her and not her sister or father.
Senami says maybe it's Aji and she should have left when they told her to.
She asks what she should do now.
He puts his hand on her knee to reassure her.
