It was thursday morning i was just waking up, i stared at the clock, watching time pass me by and somehow it seemed slow. So i decided to go down and greet mum, then i suprisingly saw dad.

Me: aint you going to the hospital.
Dad: no boy today is my day off, i just smiled dryly, walked straight into the kitchen threw the fridge open and i emptied a whole jug of water. I wanted to be normal but it seem everything i did made me feel uneasy. Not even realizing dad was watching
Dad: dee whats up with you
Me: nothing just that am not just comfortable at home when i should be somewhere else
Dad: somewhere else like??
Me: seriously mum hasnt told you.
Dad; he just gave me a look of confusion. Give me a minute i said as i ran upstair and brought my speech for him to see

Today’s competition will be holding in greenville high here in westfield. Am just gonna do my best she thought as she exhaled deeply.

Girl you know your not ready, kept on singing in my head, atleast i have to try i yelled.

Soon i was dressed, by 9.00am everyone was seated in the hall, while we queued up at the back, waiting to be called on stage. Then i saw mrs queen, mr gilbert arguing with the judges.

Our representative wont be coming, something obviously urgent came up, to make this a fair competition we have to cancel the speech.

Judge1: no way we cant do that is not going to be fair on your oponent.
Judge2: the only way to make this competition fair is to change the topic of the speech to motivation of the audience, we aint gonna judge the audience would do the judging.
Mr gilbert: thats manageable
you mean you would be doing this today dad asked with raised eye brows
Me: i spent weeks making this up, and i can give this up without blinkin for her. I said slowly
Dad: you love her that much??
Me: yes dad
Dad: go get dressed am gonna talk to your mum. At that moment you might think am superman from krypton, because the speed i used to go upstairs and get dressed was unimaginable. Soon i came down clad in white suit, black trouser, black shirt and shining shoes with my glasses and me on the other hand looking cuter than ever. I walked down slowly and majestically for goodness sake am gonna be meeting my princes today i taught to myself. Just then i saw mum standing with dad.

Mum: dee you aint going anywere
Me: huuuuh!!!! for a moment i thought it better to be blown up by c4. I just stared at mom trying to hold back my feelingz, the harder i tried, the more i felt like my feelings was gonna explode and i felt warm tears on my eyes, i just fell with my a-s on the staircase. I tried talking but no words came out.

Dad: nice job honey you did a good thing ruining his make up he said mockingly and left. Then i felt someone touched me, i looked up and it was mum. I gently removed her hands from my shoulders, then she walked into there room and soon she was out
Mum: you love her that much???
Me: i just nodded
Mum: then go bring her home dee!! she said tossing her car keys to me.
