The banking hall was too huge.It had five tellers with cashiers ready to serve everyone. One teller seeing to the needs of customers who want to change foreign currencies into ghana cedis.

The second teller was in charge of receiving bank drafts and people who wanted to put money into their accounts.

The other three tellers were also in charge of cashing out money to customers. Even though the bank had five tellers, it was always choked with people from all walks of life.

*As i stirred at the clock on the wall, i begun to think about so many things. I was pulled by someone. I gained consciousness and when i was pulled.

It was the lady i was waiting for. She was very much delated to still see me at the banking hall.

She asked me to follow her outside which i obeyed. She was with a polythene bag and on the front page was scribbled UT Bank Ltd.

No one had to tell me that she carried the three thousand ghana cedis in the bag.

“Hey you, so you are still here. I thought you had bolted away with my bag. How good of you to be still standing here.

So she actually tested me with her bag and the content in it. I would have been so foolish to be trapped in her web should i have bolted.

“Lets go to a restaurant, hope you are hungry, she asked. I really wanted to know her more so i gladly nodded in agreement.

She asked if i knew one of the finest restaurants in town and i sent her to Abusua restaurant,

one of the best in town.

She ordered for food and drinks. I wanted to ask of her name but i was very shy of her.

“Actually my name is Gloria and i am a single babe. I actually came to cash out some money at the bank and i intentionally wrote thirty thousand on the check book so i could have a chance to talk to you.

An a consultant at a bank in Accra, Zenit bank to be precise. Actually, my boss sent me here for the money.

She showed her ID card to me and it barred her name.

So this woman was actually stalking me. She intentionally wrote on the check wrongly so she could have the chance to talk to me, how wonderful.

I asked her why she did that and i realised she had an interest in me.

“Mr. handsome, tell me a bit about yourself…. She asked.

“Actually, my name is Ali and i am a student at Mt Mary College. I came here to withdraw some money my mum sent to me to buy some books at College.

Am in a relationship but the lady am dating seems to be cheating on me so its kind of complicated right now.

She frowned her face when i said i was dating but her face lite up immediately i said its complicated.

She sat up right and in her hand was a white envelope which she handed to me. She asked to take her leave and asked for my number.

I didn’t want to give my line to her so i told her i had no phone but to my greatest surprise she took her bag,

brought up her iphone, took off her sim card and handed me the iphone saying, you can have this Ali. Just promise me that you will call me.

I was speechless and just nodded in agreement. She then called one waiter and beseeched her to buy her a sim card. She then turned to me and said, “Ali i fell for you at the bank immediately i saw you.

Promise me you won’t deceive me by going back to your girlfriend who i know by now has broken your heart. Am ready to fill in for her.

” Gosh i didn’t see that one come i meditated…
