Emilia woke up the next morning when it was 10:00 am,she jumped up noticing everywhere was bright. She checked the small stop watch,the warden usually used and the time was 10:00 am,she wondered what made her wake up that late. she was very hungry and she noticed her daily food of half-cooked beans and small droplet of water in a rusted galvanized cup was already there,she ate it hurriedly though the food was insipid. She had typhoid due to the poor and unclean water she took,but she was able to contain it because they managed to give her petty anti-biotics to weaken the Samonella typhi.


She heard noises outside and the noises were loud that she was able to eavesdrop,she stopped abruptly from eating,stood up and went close to the door. Then she heard someone say :” The result of the finger-print analysis is out oh,that lady really killed her husband”. Her heart skipped one beat,she was scared ” Does it mean the finger-print analysis has shown that she was the murderer” she asked herself. She started sobbing knowing fully well that she didn’t have a hand in her husband’s death.



When she was arrested,they took some of her credentials including her voter’s card which are finger-print was already on,so the laboratory scientists just had to match the one they obtained falsely from the bullet and the one on the voter’s card which they clearly did,posing Emilia as the murderer. The warden came into the Emilia’s cell to inform her that someone was looking for her. I know you’d be surprised at wh Emilia’s cell contains only her but it does because she was still undergoing investigation.
