The next day at the market, Chinedu was waiting patiently for Ifeoma’s dad to come so he could tell him what he has decided to do.
Chinedu, Chinedu, another guy who stays opposite the shop next to them called.
Chinedu: Ifeanyi what do you want?

After Ifeanyi left him, he went and sat down and started rethinking if what he wants to do is the right thing.
Few minutes later, Ifeoma’s dad(Mr. Ubah) came in.
Chinedu: good morning sir.
Mr. Ubah: morning, how are you.

Mr. Ubah: lets go into my shop, hope you thought about our yesterday’s conversation.
Chinedu: yes sir.
They went into his shop and he asked all his boys to excuse them.
Mr. Ubah: so what was your conclusion.
Chinedu: (thinking for a while) sir, i don’t want to do it, it’s evil.
Mr. Ubah: (laughs) so what if its evil? Don’t people do evil this days, its a norm in our society.

Mr. Ubah: if you say so, i thought you would agree to it, so i brought the money i promised you, its in the car.

Chinedu: (thinking again) sir, did you say you already have the money?
Mr: Ubah: yes, i thought you would agree to what i told you yesterday.
Chinedu: sir, i have changed my mind, i will do it.
Mr. Ubah: i knew you would agree, welcome friend.
Chinedu: thank you sir.

Mr. Ubah: you can have the money this morning if you want.
Chinedu: yes sir, thank you sir.
Mr. Ubah: you are welcome, we will start the preparation for the first attack whenever you are ready.
Chinedu: yes sir, am so happy, thank you sir, we can start the preparation anytime.

Back at the hospital, Jayjay and Lor’d V were watching Jayjay’s mum who was sleeping peacefully after crying her eyes out in the night.

Lor’d V: Jayjay, you have to embrace yourself to answer her questions when she wakes up.
Jayjay: am already aware of that, i know she’s going to ask me questions, but what worries me is that i have already disapointed her.
Lor’d V: trust me, when you explain everything to her she will understand.
Jayjay: i pray she understands.
Just then his mum woke up.

Jayjay’s mum: (coldly) morning.
Lor’d V: good morning ma.
Jayjay’s Mum: (coldly again) morning.
Jayjay: mum, am sorry.
Jayjay’s mum: sorry for what? Its your life, you can live it however you want it, if you like become a ritualist later in future, its your life.
Lor’d V: we are sorry ma.

Jayjay’s mum: you don’t have to apologize to me, i know you are truly sorry.
Lor’d V: ma, am sorry also.

Jayjay’s mum: now that you have succedded in getting him angry of what use is it to you.
Jayjay: mum please don’t ask me any further questions.

Jayjay’s mum: call your dad right now and sincerely tell him you have forgiven him.
