Must Read: Had I known - Season 1 - Episode 53

Martha was sobbing at the backyard when someone came behind her and handed her a handkerchief, she took it without even looking at the good samaritan who gave it to her.
Martha: Thank you very much, i appreciate.
Tunde: (grabs her shoulder) you are welcome.
She turned to see three masked men behind her, and before she could scream another one put a gun to her stomach.

Tunde: don’t scream, just cooperate with us and you will live to tell the story.
Martha: (nodding) yes, i will cooperate.
She tearfully followed them out through the small gate at the back to a car that was packed not far away from the main house.
When they got into the car, she began crying uncontrollably, two people among them kept asking her to shut up if not they will hurt her, she noticed that the third masked man wasn’t talking nor had he said anything since they took her.
In no time she woke up and found herself in a nicely made room and there was a nice plate of food by her side, she couldnt remember how she got there nor how far away she is from home, she could only remember that one of the masked man sitting by her right side brought out a white handkerchief and put it on her face and that was the last thing she remembered.
Tunde: you are awake?

She turned to see one of the masked men, waving at her from the doorway.
Martha: yes, please can i ask you a question?
Tunde: yes, go ahead.
Martha: please what am i doing here?
Tunde: isn’t it obvious, we kidnapped you.
Martha: i know already, what i want to know is the reason behind it.
Tunde: nah, nah, nah, i can’t tell you that. Eat your food, now that you are awake.
Martha: i am not hungry, thanks.
Tunde: it is afternoon already, i am sure you are very hungry now.
Martha: afternoon? What? What did you people do to me?
Tunde: i think i am being too nice to you, keep quiet don’t ask me any question again.
Just then his phone rang and he went out to pick the call.
Tunde: sir, it went well, she cooperated, we went through the back gate, no one saw us, we haven’t contacted them yet….yes sir…we will wait till you get here.

Back at the Agaba’s house everyone were in a bad mood, Martha’s mum was even crying.
It had started the previous night when Jayjay went to the backyard to apologize to Martha over the ”indecent kiss” but she was nowhere to be found, he began looking around for her but he didnt see her, that was when he alerted the rest of the family members including the police men that were in the house but the search didnt bring any good result, it was a ”useless search”
The police headquater at zone 7 divison immediately swung into action immediately the case got to them. Throughout the night no member of the family slept a wink, some were saying short prayers in their minds for Martha’s safety, while Jayjay was feeling terribly guilty for kissing his sister and making her run off to where she disappeared from.
Mr. Agaba: officer, how is it going? Has she been found yet, hope she is alive…(Mr. Agaba said, questioning the policeman who just walked into their house)
Officer: am sorry sir, but we haven’t found anything yet.
Jayjay: what do you mean, you haven’t found anything yet, what is the work of the police, why are you paid salaries? is it not for the citizens well being?
Officer: i am sorry young man, but we haven’t come up with anything tangible, we have already broken protocols by carrying out an investigation when the victim has not even disappeared for up to 24 hours.
Mr. Agaba: have you not seriously come up with anything?
Officer: well, we came up with something, it is a stepping stone for now.
Jayjay: what is it you found out?

Officer: well, she was kidnapped, and from all indications, she was not forcefully taken, she cooperated with the kidnappers.
Jayjay: how did you know she cooperated with them.
Officer: if she didn’t cooperate, she would have been shot or you would have heard her screaming.
Jayjay: we didn’t hear anything.
Officer: i know, that is why i said she went willingly, for her to cooperate with the kidnapper it must be someone she knows. Mr. Agaba, is there anybody you know who might be responsible for this.
Mr. Agaba: i dont know anyone who might be responsible for this.
Officer: are you sure about this.
Mr. Agaba: yes officer.
Officer: you dont suspect any business rival or anybody.

Mr. Agaba: no, i dont suspect anyone who might be responsible for kidnapping my daughter.
Officer: alright, we just came to give you that assurance that she is alive from all indications.

Mr. Agaba: thank you, please put in more effort in finding my daughter, it will really make me happy if you people find her.
Officer: we will find her sir, don’t worry about that anymore.
Mr. Agaba: thank you officer.
Officer: you are welcome.
Just as the officer left Mr. Agaba received a very disturbing text message which he refused to show to any of his family member, the text message says ”IF U WANT TO SEE YOUR DAUGHTER AGAIN, THERE’S A BIG PRICE TO PAY”
