Story of a Survivor - Season 1 - Episode 27

Remembering what Caroline and Lawal did to
me made me cry, but as I cried my whole
system was in pains, I coughed a little and I
felt a pain as if an axe was used to cut my
head. How could I be in so much pain and I
cannot cry? Crying became another painful
ordeal. She’s come back! I heard someone
say; get the Doctor!

I simply remained calm and put my ears to use since I could neither see nor speak.

I tried to move my arms, my right arm could not move beyond my chest, something held it back, I tried my left arm, it was free so I felt my face, what I felt almost made me laugh. My Lips, my mouth, my eye lids, my ears, everything I touched were doubled its natural size! I have been mauled by an animal and I am still alive.

waged a war on my defenseless body and I
came out alive though battered. I felt like a
hero and I smiled. The smile did not last as it
sent painful vibrations through my head. I tried to focus, and eventually my eyes gave way to a slit through which I could see faintly.

The Doctor came and I felt movements around
me, I guessed it must be the Doctors and
some Nurses for all I could make out were
their white Robes.

How are you Girl? The voice said.

I tried to talk but that pain again, so I used my
free arm and waved at him.

You are at the Military Hospital in the Barracks
here, your elder Sister Silvia brought you here
unconscious two nights ago, and she said she
met you like that in your house after some
people came to call her from her shop that
you were fighting with your eldest sister in the
House!

I waved my hand frantically to tell him he was
wrong, he got the message:
You were not fighting your Sister? He asked; I
gave him a “thumbs up” and he decoded
I should have known that! He said, no woman
could have done this to her.

Well, when you were brought in here, we took
you to the theatre and did an X-ray check on
you because you were bleeding from your nose and ears, two of your Ribs were broken, your right arm was fractured, your tongue was cut deeply and you lost your incisors teeth: I was angry to hear him talk so I used my left hand to hit the bed severally.
