It was a silent drive home. The silence was so loud. I didnt utter a world and neither did she. When she pulled up in front of my house, she said to me.

Kimberly: You know, being tight-lipped doesnt suit you.

Lucia: Shouldnt you have atleast asked me before inviting him.

Kimberly: So that’s the problem.

Lucia: Ofcourse, what else.

Kimberly: Dont be such a kill-joy, today was wonderful, dont ruin it.

Lucia: Maybe you should have thought of that before inviting him.

Kimberly: In my opinion, Chris is a great guy, i dont know whats your problem.

Lucia: So now, its me with the problem ?

Kimberly: You told me, you were going to him a chance atleast to get to know him, so i thought inviting him to your birthday will be a good start.

Lucia: I did but i didnt say invite him to my birthday.

Kimberly: Come on take it easy, its not like i invited him to your house, it was just a night out.

Lucia: It was suppose to be our time out not to invite a third party.

Kimberly: He is not a third party, he is a friend.

Lucia: Not mine.

Kimberly: He wants to be.

Lucia: Really! I cant do this right now.

Kimberly: You just cant admit to yourself that it was fun having him around.

Lucia: It wasnt.

Kimberly: Then why are you blushing ?

Lucia: No i am not. ( As i made to opened the door to get down).

Kimberly: You were totally blushing.

Lucia: All right! Thanks for a wonderful time and a goodnight.

Kimberly: You’re most welcome, say goodnight to your mum for me.

Lucia: I will. Drive carefully.

Kimberly: Yes ma’am.

I waved to her as she drive off. It was indeed a great day, my best birthday so far.
