“Which kind business be that? Hope say e no involve mama nkechi ba?” musa asked. He just goofed. For a guy with the title ‘king of mischief’, his fear for mama nkechi was too pronounced which made me to start doubting him. I wouldn’t blame him, even her husband was afraid of her.

Philip brought out his phone and played the recording.

Musa brought out his phone and dialled a number. After some seconds, he started talking.
” guy how fa na, you still get mr.tiav number?”.

“Okay, just text me the number”.

The call ended and musa smiled.

He turned and spoke, “Guys i need brains”.
I looked at philip and we started laughing.

“Wetin dey make una laugh na?” musa asked in suprise.

“see you wey dey talk about brains, you wey you repeat class pass locker” philip joked.

Truely, musa had repeated in his secondary days to the extent that every desk in the class knew his a:ss. So why would he be telling us to use our brains?

“Una wey una get brain, wetin come make una carry this operation come give me?” musa asked.

“okay no vex, you be guru. Guru for trouble
making” we acknowlegded. Just Yarn us the modus operandi.

“This matter, we gat use sense do am o, if not we go just invite police come our doorstep” musa explained.

“una go dey with the man for office when i go call am. You know say na una been dey there when the man been talk those things, so e go better make una dey there so that e no go suspect una” musa explained further.

All this talks was becoming boring, the part i was interested in was the financial aspect.

“Oboy make we collect 15k” philip advised.

They argued until we settled for 20k, that would be the money for our victory party.

we went back to the students affairs department but this time, the man was attending to a student. We waited for him to be trough with the student before we went in. We flashed musa before entering. That was the sign we gave him to know that we were inside the office.

Few minutes later, musa’s call Came in.

“hello, who is this?” the man asked as soon as he picked the call.

“Recording? What are you talking about? Who are you?” he asked multiple questions at the same time.

“My friend you must be crazy.” he said and ended the call.

“Can you imagine all these silly students? They wont face their studies” he wanted to continue with his speech but the look on our faces showed we weren’t interested so he ended his speech.

His phone started ringing again, he picked it up. This time everywhere was quiet so i could hear the other person, although the chinese phone played a part in making it audible.

“Mr.man listen to this” musa spoke from the other end. He started playing the recording. The man was suprised as he just opened his mouth.

“mr.man that is not my voice” he finally spoke.

“Thats what you think, but i dont think thats what your wife would think” musa spoke with composure

“What do you want” the man asked.

Thats not how the business works sir, i’ll call you later with the amount and method of payment. Musa ended the call.

The man looked at us suspiciously and spoke. “I want you boys to help me catch this criminal.”
